  Very friendly welcome when we arrived. Hotel looks great and lived up to the looks. Room was good, spacious and well equipped. Downside was the shower head wouldn't stay up. Only there for 2 days so put up with it, however, if we were staying longer it would have had to be fixed or change rooms. Bar area is lovely and breakfast good and served qui... lo que la gente dice » ckly. Hotel is couple of miles outside Thirsk, so if you want to go in for meal/drinks, you'll need a taxi. Would definitely stay again. Great base t - White Horse Lodge Hotel was by far one of the best places I stayed at while visiting England! Christina and her husband have an amazing place and provided wonderful hospitality! I would highly recommend staying here to anyone that is traveling to Thirsk and the Yorkshire country! The hotel is not to large and not to small. It's amazing views of the countryside and is located just outside of the city! This is also a great place to stay if you are looking to tour James Herriot country!
