Definitely best choice for Edinburgh. Have stayed at Balmoral 3 times already, and every time was an exceptionally pleasant experience. First of all, the location was extraordinary. The sea (Firth of Forth) is just behind the hotel and you wake up, seeing big steamships and small fisher boats on the water.

This was our first stay at a Premier Inn. The hotel is clean, the rooms
were spacious. The staff was very helpful. The views of the water were
beautiful and our family enjoyed walking along the quay. The breakfast
served at the restaurant next door was perfectly fine. We ate at the
nearby Prezzo for dinner. Although we had a car, we caught the bus at
the conveniently located stop directly across from the hotel. Definitely
the right decision given the traffic and apparent lack of parking. This

I loved everything. With 9 people ranging from 11 to 78 yo, we booked two family rooms and one premium twin. Rooms were clean, furniture new -ish, bright, comfortable. Location! Very easy to find from the train station. Elevator available (although it's soo slow). Free WiFi was very smooth (although only in the common area). Helpful staff, suggested me alternatives of transport and calling a cab for me. Comfy bed, love the comforter. Surprisingly the room is quite sound-proof from the noise from the street. Nice bathroom with handheld shower! Free map provided.

the warmth and helpfulness of the managers kay and kenny the rooms were clean and tidy breakfasts were good to we would go again and recommend to friends and family overall we had a great weekend - The patron was very welcoming and worked hard to solve all my problems and concerns.

This is a charming small hotel, easy walking distance to City Centre. It has a comfortable little bar,reasonably priced, didn't sample the bar food but if the breakfast is anything to go by I'm sure it'll be excellent, as was the breakfast -freshly cooked to order, as much tea/coffee and toast as you want. The room was spotless, freshly decorated and beds comfortable,the bathroom was spotless too - good shower.Parking for a few cars on site. I will definitely use this hotel again.
