  Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to town, within walking distance. Accommodation warm, comfortable and all facilities one would expect. Food not exceptional but tasty and well cooked. All in all a pleasant stay and hope to return one day. - Decor is a little dated but it adds to the ambiance!   I thought everything about the hotel was good. It was quiet and the room was spacious clean and had all the facilities required for a pleasant stay. Breakfast similarly provided all that was required to start a day. A good choice of cereal, cooked food or cold food if preferred with a range of drinks to suit all. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and always on hand to provide guidance and advice. - Really enjoyed stay as base for visiting family in Cumbria. We were able to bring our two dogs rather than leave at home for small price per night. This was fabulous for us and a surprise as not realised when booked. Also free car park a real bonus for location and so convienient. Great shower in bathroom and as good as you get anywhere. All in all enjoyed 3 night stay with location short distance to walk to castle and park for dogs.Would recommend for budget conscious comfortable accommodation
