Good location near basmane station and 24 hour food places. Room for just me had a double and two single beds. Shower had hot water. Aircon worked very well. WiFi worked in my room on level 3. Walk to all points of interest in about 15-20mins in all directions. Let me keep my bag in their kitchen while I walked around. very kind staff, good position very close to the metro station and to restaurants the room had clean If I go again, Izmir, i will take reservation again in Caylan Hotel ..thank you.

Central location and a 15 minute walk to the airport shuttle. very kind staff, good position very close to the metro station and to restaurants. The hotel and the room was very clean. The location is great. Staff were really helpful. Very basic hotel right by the rail station, so good location. Clean enough and everything worked, so good value for money. Good value for money and comfortable location if you need to stay a night before taking a flight. Only the location was OK. Very easy to find on the dolmus stop from Otogar. Staff don't speak much English (not a complaint, just a fact) but don't let that stop you from booking. No lift, but if you can walk you should be ok. Lots of tv channels all in Turkish if you intend to watch something. Didn't find many powersockets in the room. We had a tricky time finding the hotel and when we did they did not have record of our booking. no elevator. Can be noisy outside in the streets till late at night. A bit noisy at night due to the location but it was very handy for the train station. There was no glass in the room to drink from. The receptionist doesn't speak english. The mattress was a bit un conmfortable. Room was disgusting and stinks so bad. There was not even a window at the room. We couldn't wake up in the morning because it was still pitch dark inside the room when they called us to wake up at 12:00. It's highly not recommended. Stay awayyyyy. Extremely old, dirty. Had to use toilet paper to wrap faucet prior to touching. Shower head did not work, whole building smells cigarette. I did not un pack but all my clothes inside my bag got smoke smell. Stay away, not worth a penny. Wrap a t shirt on the pillow. Dirty floor in bathroom, there were raining in the bathroom, shower not possible to stop properly, no window from room - the only one was on dark emergency schaft. I have seen much much better properties for that price in Turkey. Horrible - horrible - horrible take another hotel. The staffs are very rude and unfriendly. Eventhough I am staying with some friends at different rooms they dont allow us to visit in each other room. Very disappointing!.
