We absolutely loved Zara. We paid extra on arrival and upgraded to the
double pool villa for two nights as it was vacant, but then as it was
booked out we thenmoved to villa 10 (grand plunge pool villa). We loved
so many things about Zara. As there are only 12 or so villas in the
resort, most of the time you don't see any other guests. When using

This was without a doubt the best resort we ever visited in all our travelling abroad. The garden in which the villas are situated is awesome and right by the sea. This resort is excelent for people who prefer privacy, yet 20 meters walking and you're on the beach. In your private garden by the villa you would think you're alone in the jungle. Everything. Its a nice laid-back hotel. Location was good for the main bars and restaurants of Lamai. it has its own private beach just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. My room was lovely, spacious and nicely decorated. Nice beach restaurant with good inexpensive food. Nice friendly staff, if not the best at English. Wifi on the beach was also a plus.

From the great location, quiet area to the amazing staff that we could bug with any question or request & nothing was too much for them. Awesome food for a small lodge!
