  From the moment we arrived Bixen, the owner, made us feel very welcome. The room was large, clean and the bed do comfortable. The views are fabulous, but you need to go to appreciate how pretty it is and quiet. Overlooks east to the Spanish (Hondaribbia) and French (Hendaye) towns. The owner / host is a young enthusiastic, energetic, charming and helpful man... Etc...this is a fantastic place to stay and explore the intriquing Basque area. It is a bit hard to find. Set the sat nav to find the (also excellent) 'Arroka berri' restaurant.   This small hotel is in a quiet part of the town. It is very close to the beach & the old town where the eating is terrific. We stayed in an apartment which was very comfortable & serviced each day. The staff are very helpful & are very willing to have a talk & pass on tips about the town & the local eating facilities.   This was a very pleasant pension. We had a double and a single room for our daughter. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was quite well located with only a ten minute walk to the old town where we spent a lot of time. The coffee which is free was lovely.   Very good quality/price ratio. It is a nice modern hotel even though the location is a small village. Good food at the restaurant at a low price.
