transportation is much expensive in Madrid. Also, the worker (or maybe
manger) is super funny and friendly. He speaks English with a Spanish
accent, a little bit diffic -
I've stayed at many hostels all around Spain by now, about 4 of them in Madrid alone, and this was by far one of THE best service we've ever had. Super clean. The price for the location is unbeatable. The Wifi was great. Outstanding service by attendant who assisted us. At one point I forgot my cell phone on the couch in the little lobby and he picked it up and left in our room with a note. How he knew it was ours, no idea. (Maybe process of elimination.) But so glad he did! Will definitely go

Hostal Mendoza is located in perfect place: next to the central street
of Madrid - Gran Via and Puerta del Sol, where you can take the tourist-
bus and travel all over the city. Our double-room on the second flour
was always clean, the furniture and bathroom (with all the accessories)

The location is superb (if a little hard to find down a side street). Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to do everything to make our stay perfect. Was concerned a "hostal" might not be up to scratch but it was like any other 3 star accommodation. Room was large with fairly new ensuite and very comfy beds. There was nothing we didn't like and would definitely stay again.

I liked how the room that I got was exactly what was shown in the

I should say this is a perfect Hostal! Location is perfect, 5 minutes to
Sol station or Gran Via! Staff are sooo nice and helpful, giving me a
lot of advice and help me resolve the problem of travel adapter! And
also need to mention, the design and decoration of the room, surprised
and considerate and sweet! With the price and location, I do think this
Hostal deserves highly recommended.

Location was excellent, a very very short walk from the Puerta del Sol. Very very very good value for the price.
Place was clean, and everything worked fine. Staff was very hospitable.

Location superb - pedestrianised shopping strip right outside your door. Very safe area. Extremely helpful staff-thanks Mary and George for a great and comfortable stay. The man who worked at the reception (Hose) was wery nice, serviceable and kind. He was always ready to help us find whatever we were looking for in Madrid. Our room was seamlessly clean with clean towels every morning. Wifi works great BUT the password is red

- shops and minimarkets right near and across the pension
- clean rooms, spacious and comfortable
- the rooms that go into the interior court are very quiet, the ones that go in the street can be a bit noisy during the night
