The staff were super nice. Breakfast was till 11am (super late compared to other places) and was simple but fresh and delicious. The room was more than we had hoped for. We asked for a room with a balcony and thats exactly what we got. Great location and just a really nice place to come to at the end of a long day sightseeing.

The location of the hostel is close to shopping venues, metro station and tourist interests. The staff was helpful and kind they gave me my breakfast at night since I was leaving very early before the breakfast is served. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes next to the hostel.

The location is perfect (close to main squares and public transportation). Staff is very friendly. Rooms are always clean. Single rooms are very small but if you are looking for just place to sleep, perfect for money vs. quality,service,comfort and location. Easy transportation possibilities from the airport (one bus and 4 metro stops).

We spent just one night at the Hostal Macarena, when passing Madrid on our way back from holiday. It's a lovely place in the heart of Madrid (Plaza Mayor is just behind the corner!), surrounded by many bars, restaurants and little stores. The room is quite small, but well equipped and clean. Staff doesn't speak very good English, but is very nice.

Location, location, location! Two steps from the plaza Mayor and many other attractions, located on a little street with animation. Staff is courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage all day so we could walk around freely untill we left to take the train. Room was clean, confortable and big enough. Very good quality for the price. I recommend this hotel wihtout any hesitation.

I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights and have to say I quite enjoyed my stay. The room was neat with AC and TV. The bathroom and toilet facilities were clean and tidy. The hostel was just next to the metro and was very convenient. Staff very friendly and helpful. Yes they do speak english. Good value for the price.

First of all, we have to say that the staff was unbelievable!! All of them were extremely friendly and extremely helpful as we had lots of questions and requests.

Hotel staff spoke very good English, and they were very pleasant. It
was very quiet inside all the hallways and doors, so I knew I would be
able to sleep well. Safe. We had a key to get into the building later
in the evening. The evening staff worked very hard to print out a
ticket for us. He was very kind to do so. Polite, honest, hard working.
The mini frig was a wonderful item, as was the hairdryer. I would
gladly recommend the Hostal, especially if you want to be in the center
of Madrid.

El trato personal fue excelente (sobre todo un recepcionista de Perú de cuyo nombre no me acuerdo), así como la limpieza en la habitación. Está todo nuevo y la cama era amplia y cómoda. El servicio de desayuno a la cama es todo un lujo. El A/C tiene un costo diario de 5€ pero merece la pena. Fue todo perfecto. La relación calidad/precio fue excelen
... lo que la gente dice » te. - lo que me ha gustado mas era la ubicación.. a dos pasos de la Plaza Mayor, muy centrico y cerca de todos los sitios de interes.. muy tranquilo.. las habitaciones muy limpias y el personal muy amable (especialmente el recepcionista peruano Guarren.. un tío que sabe aconsejar..) seguro que si vuelvo me alojaré en ese hostal!!
