Lo que la gente dice
Hostal de la Luz was a great find. The owners were extremely helpful and kind and the breakfast was good value for money. The room was spacious and clean and had a rooftop view over the river and church. The location was perfect, only a five minute walk to the town, tapas bars were closer and the area was nice and quiet. Definitely recommended!.
Lovely small hotel in a good location near the river. Only 10 mins walk to the old town and all the sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful, although they did not speak English and our Spanish is very limited they still managed to give us directions to some sights outside Cuenca and recommended places to eat.todo comentarios »
I was very comfortable at Hostal de la Luz. The location is great, half
way between the train station and the old town. Very nice view from the
room window. The breakfast is decent and fairly generous. The people
are very friendly and if you speak any Spanish at all you will enjoy
their openness.
Nice clean and tidy chic hostal , comfortable beds ,TV & aircon in working order , good shower , nice towels & with friendly owners.Much as described on the website, close to the town centre & restaurants. Most enjoyable visit , would recommend Cuenca & area as a must see stop .
The owners were very helpful and professional. The Hostal is comfortable
and spotlessly clean. It was ideally situated for the Fiesta as it was
on the quiet side of the river! Our satnav took us right to the bottom
of the steps below the hotel. We would be happy to visit again.
Fantastic location..comfortable and attractive room with excellent shower/toilet ensuite.
Limited but free parking very nearby...
Very helpful and welcoming staff and a simple but good quality breakfast.
The landlady does whatever she can to make you feel OK.
The situation is quiet because of the situation in a maze of lanes and stairs.
Free parking available along the riverside few hundred meters away.
The owners very enthusiasm and kindly to Taiwan clients. In Cuenca many students from Asia, the owner likes received us. Night of Cuenca has very beautiful views and houses.
Recommend an economical.
The best hostal during my trip of Spain. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the room is comfortable and well lay out. A very pleasant stay!!! Highly recommend!!!.
Within easy walking distance of old city and attractions. Also next to river for walks and quieter side of town.
Owner very helpful in giving advice and directions.
Very comfortable place very near to the main places. We parked our car near the hostel. Gay friendly, we got our twin bedroom without problems.
Location outside city center but not too far out.
Friendly hosts Jesus & Pepa and pet dogs also.
Homey atmosphere.
very friendly and helpful people. also had friendly dogs around. close to riverside walk and easy to walk to old town.
Very clean and convenient.
Friendly helpful owners.
Good location near the historical centre of Cuenca.
Room basic but okay.
Breakfast simple but OK for me.
everything is fine !.
The hotel was fine, but we used a sat nav to directus & the hotel is up some steps & hidden from the road. We were unsure if we were at the correct place until we parked up & went & found it on foot.
Hostal is a little way from a parking area & up a couple of flights of steps , so travel light . Owners do have dogs so anyone wary of them please note.
1. Hard to find! The letsbookhotel.com description is of no help.
Cross the bridge from the old/new town. (San Lazaro is not only a street and a plaza, it is a quarter). Turn right at the church down Paseo de Jugar, along the river.
Up the steps 15 meters on the left.
Look for the sign on the wall.
2. I hate those beds with plasticcovers under the linen sheets.
The hostel a little far to old city needs to walk 20-30 mins.
Nothing.
Directions to Hostal very vague.
We didn't have wifi in the room. It was the room at the top of the hostel.
TV not easy to turn on.
can´t drive up to hotel but free parking area nearby. have to carry bags up steps to the hotel.
No car access but if you can carry your bags up the steps, very good.
Thin (hardboard) walls, so you can hear everything from the rooms next to you.
