We arrived just after having stayed in the jungle at Sepilok (which was after days of diving and a long bus journey), so we really needed somewhere clean and comfortable. The Sheraton Sandakan far exceeded my expectations on both fronts. It was extremely good value for money.

The staff at this hotel, did much more than expected. I had a birthday cake delivered to my room a very pleasant surprise. Especially Stella.What ever we asked they went out of their way to help us. The best service we have ever had from all staff, in any place we stayed in Malaysia for 4 weeks, could not fault service, type of room & cleanliness.

Very nice hotel with super friendly and helpful staff! The people ad the
reception where brilliant with booking your tours and busses. Rooms are
clean with asian style furniture. Double rooms on one side of the
building have windows that face a concrete wall, there is space (2/3
meter) between the window and the concrete and you get some sunlight,
but the air con of the hotel is in that between space so you hear a
buzz... They turn it of ad night! So ask if you can get a sea few room

The staff were so friendly. They went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay and nothing was too much trouble. This is a fantastic hotel - clean, comfortable and a great restaraunt. Nice new hotel outside the town. Since i find the town of Sandakan totally run down and a place not to be, livong outside of town was no prob. Manage to grab a cab to Sepilok thanks to the staff in the lobby for just 15 R
Me and my girlfriend was the only ones livong at the hotel so it was quiet odd. Had 3 members of the staff helping us to get the landury machine working!

The hospitality given is excellent. The management really takes care of the guests staying there and it is like a family staying under one roof. In fact, this is our first time staying in a hotel like this. We got a chance to cook seafood according to our taste as the hotel is just opposite the market. Very pleasant stay and a memorable one.
