Lo que la gente dice
As soon as you walk in its like you are home. The owner is so friendly and caring and if you can't speak a lot of Japanese its ok because she goes that extra mile to understand you and try to help you find your way. The room was very traditional tatami which we loved!
The location was perfect, close to at least 5 shrines, around the corner from the major tourist bus loop and a bakery on the corner. It was also peaceful, you felt like you are one of the locals.
Highly recommend this establishm. todo comentarios »
Loved staying in this cozy hotel which is very conveniently located, walking distance to a bunch of temples and museums, steps away from a train station, across the street from many restaurants. loved my room with a comfortable traditional bed, my low table etc.
The room was very nice, quite big for a ryokan, and it even had a small balcony. It is well situated in between Gion and the temples on the east side of Kyoto.
very friendly owner, great service, nice traditional tatami room, good location a bit away from the major tourist hustle & bustle. really liked it.
Nice cozy room. Very clean. not far from station and tourist places (walking distance). I would say that I will come back if I visit Kyoto.
Good futons, the place has a nice athmosphere like a guesthouse mixed with ryokan. It was not far from the nice attractions in kyo.
Cheap! Authentic Japanese room! Close to Kyoto station. Walking distance.
Charming owner & authentic ryokan experience.
Clean & modern type of Ryokan.
Good location in quiet area.
Good location, good price!!!.
very clean and tidy.
Excellent location.
The location is pretty good and quiet.
The toilet is really really small, but clean.
This is generally a guest house, so dont expect it as the same standard as a hotel.
Good location close to railways station and most of attractions.
It was super comfy and easy to find.
clean, friendly.
The location.
Location was good, close to subway and bus stops, 15 min walk to Kyoto station. It is an economical way to taste the "ryokan" experience. Free wifi.
The location is very good, near to train station and touristic places.
Por posición en la ciudad.
The staff don't speak English, so it was tough to communicate, but we managed to understand each other.
However, there are not many restaurants just next to the hotel. And the service was very bad.
nothing.
a bit difficult to find at first. should have a hotel sign at the main street.
The beds and nightwears did not smell fresh, not because they werent washed but because of the washing liquid probably.
No frills, bed was not soft. Had to be on ground. They take your room key during the day. Thin walls.
If only the staff can speak in English.
nothing.
Shared bathroom.
Staff is not always in the ryokan so you can occour is some difficulties.
I could have gotten a lot more out of the trip if the staff had been more helpful. It was alright, but there were much better deals I found later with much friendlier staff in better locations.
a cockroach on the floor (at night). But it was really hot hot day before. may be cockroaches are not typical for this land??).
The futons are not very confy. The bath was very small.
Be aware of what this ryokan experience entitles: very small rooms with no furniture, paper like walls you will hear everything through, and a smelly common cabinet for shoes. Our bedroom had private (miniature) bathroom, that did not get cleaned during our 3 day stay. Futon beds were not too bad, but the pillows were just terribly uncomfortable.
I went during the winter. The hallway is very cold due to lack of heater and the windows and balcony doors are not double glazed. Not a good place to stay during the cold months.
Sucio, dejado, casi nunca habia nadie en la recepción, dejan la llave de la habitacion en el pomo y la puerta abierta con las cosas de huesped dentro, nada de ingles, entraron un monton de veces en la habitación y no limpiaron nada.
