Mie Sumi (the lady at the ryokan) was very helpful in everything, including making reservation for bus ride to Takayama.
My wife and I also made full use of the free bicycles in our exploration of the main sights in lovely Kanazawa. In our views, cycling is the best way to experience the city, especially when you have limited time.

The family running it are extremely helpful and kind. Our one dinner and three breakfasts were plentiful and good quality traditional Japanese. Our room with private toilet was spacious and quiet. Even with three mattresses I still found the bed hard but wanted to experience the traditional ryokan. I would recommend it for being near shops and many places of interest.

The location, so near the train/bus station, is unbelievably convenient.The staff met our every need. This place is beautifully designed. Plentiful hot water, towels, and Shiseido products made the onsen (public bath) experience a twice-daily delight. Tea and sweets were served whenever we returned from shopping or sightseeing. Excellent food is available in the restaurant.

This hotel was easy to reach by bus and situated in the middle of the city. The appearence of the room was very fancy with some nice design. The bathroom was very clean and fancy with a bath and a shower. The region around the bed was rather small, but since we were sightseeing the whole day and didn't spend much time in the hotel, we didn't mind this.
