  Excellent location. 2 mins to bus station and approx 10 mins of enjoyable walk to gondola. Both Mr and Mrs Maruyama treating us like family, we feel like we have a mother looking after us in Hakuba.   Location was excellent both for mountain access and also for easy stroll to restaurants and bars. Staff were locals and helped as much as we needed. Great inside/outside Onsen within the hotel, and the included Japanese and Western breakfasts were buffet style and had a good range to choose from.
