We stayed at Relais De L'Opera for our honeymoon in Rome and it was an excellent choice. We were contacted in advance and offered various options for a transfer to the hotel from the airport, and chose a private driver who was there and waiting for us. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by very friendly staff who gave us a map and showed us how to get to the tourist attractions, and showed us to our room where a bottle of prosecco was chilling for us! todo comentarios We are highly reccomend this hotel for the visitors. There all neccessary things for the rest and wonderful passtime. Good location on a quiet street, adjacent to one of the main street of the city, allows to get quickly to the all historical areas and of Rome. Clean renovated rooms, comfortable bed and lovely linens - a great opportunity to rest and recover after 10-12 hours of walking around the city. Staff attentive and friendly. Each morning begins with a smile and friendly 'Buongiorno' of . Relais De L'Opera is centrally located so that most sights in Rome are within walking distance. They recently expanded to a total of 11 rooms and a breakfast room. We found the staff extremely helpful, polite, and happy to be of assistance during our stay in November 2013. They cheerfully helped us to book reservations at the Borghese Museum, the Vatican Museum, and a very good restaurant near the hotel. Rooms are clean, WiFi is free in all rooms (and very fast!), and the small refrigerator in . I have stayed in multiple hotels in the center of Rome and this one is tops! It was a little hard to find but we managed. It was within walking distance of all the main attractions of Rome. The manager and owners were very friendly. The room is small but all you need, the beds were actually comfortable which is hard to find in Europe and they have extra pillows and a blanket! You have your own cafe maker in the room and they leave you plenty of treats for breakfast. The welcome was really warm and friendly. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious with an excellent bathroom. Although breakfast was provided in the room, it couldn't have been better - great supplies in the fridge and a delivery of fresh bread rolls, croissants and fruit at the time I requested in the morning. The location is brilliant - easy walking distance to all the main sites. Staff were very friendly and helpful, manager even booked us tickets on line for the vatican and printed them off to save us time queueing when we got there. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Room was very clean and comfortable, well equipped with drinks and snacks. Central location within short walking distance to the colosseum and trevvi fountain. Would highly recommend it. I was not expecting the hotel to be on the third floor of a building, so I wasn't expecting to have to find a bell code button. Wifi was"iffy" It was a hike to the Metro. This was my second stay in rome, and I didnt enjoy the location. Some sites were a bit far to walk too. About an hour walk or more to the vatican. The elevator is a bit small and hard to get into with luggage. The room was just a little on the small size - hard to find the space to open a suitcase, but for a night or two it´s ok. I think checkout time is too early. I could not open the safe as you need a key that is on a chain that you need for electiricity (so you struggle in the dark with the key). I could not find any english spoken channels on the tv. it is quite noisy, streetnoise and some music from next room or from hotel below. The lift wasn't always working, but thats fine if you are happy to walk up three stories of wide marble stairs and the hotel staff did run down to bring up our bags for us. The building is old and not well maintained although the hotel inside is clean and new. a bit noisy as the room was on the street side. The entry is a bit obscure if the taxi driver hadn't pointed it out we might still be walking up and down the street.Look for Jolie B&B as there sign is easier to see and it is in the same building on different floors. Breakfast was okay, but it is free so cant complain. Mattress could be better. Breakfast was not to our taste. Breakfast is a little bit simple. Hotel is on the 3rd floor of an old building. Elevator is from 18th century and worse it looks like it was not maintained since. Breakfast could be much improved. It would be useful if the hotel arranged for the possibility for guests to leave their bikes for the night behind the closed gates. room was next to maintenance closet so it was a little noisy early in the morning. old elevator. Being in room 5 meant that all noises from reception were quite loud in the room. Nothing. Room heating wasn't great and in late Novebmer thats a bit of an issue. Wi-fi didn't work and the staff couldn't deal with that so thats was a bit of a downer. I didn't quite feel I got value for the 100 Euro per day price in the leanest month of the year for Rome.
