  The staff were lovely, the tall barman was really friendly, we were watching Rory McElroy playing golf at the bar and we had a bit of banter with the barman. The rooms were spacious and clean.   Having never stayed in Ireland before, we booked the Castle Country House based upon the excellent reviews it had received. On arrival we were warmly greeted by our charming host Pierce Duggan and immediately made to feel welcome. Having forgotten to bring any euros with us, we needed to pop into town to use the cash point. The next thing, Pierce was waiting for us by the front door in his own car to run us into Thur - Everything! This B&B is a perfect 10 and is truly exceptional! The building is part of an old castle, complete with tower, and had been in the owners family for generations. The interior is beautifully decorated with quality furnishings and luxury items. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the room was very spacious. Breakfast was more than you could ask for, with gourmet cheeses, breads, assorted juices, and fruits, in addition to the full Irish selections. All of this was presented
