Lo que la gente dice
This nice little hotel run by two brothers in Udaipur is a good value
for money, well-located place to stay in Udaipur. It is within walking
distance of all main attractions and place to go shopping. Actually,
Udaipur is a nice place to buy souvenirs and handcrafts from Rajasthan.
The decoration of the room is very simple and all are extremely clean.
Apparently, rooms 11, 21 and 31 are the best for views of the lake, but
we stayed in room 20 and still had a view from one of the windows. The

Great position overlooking the lake. Really good and attentive staff. Management and staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Arrived very early after an overnight rail journey from Delhi and were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Rooms were made available to us even though it was only just after eight in the morning. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Made some good suggestions for places to see and visit and arranged for a car and driver to stay .
I really enjoyed the excellent service and food at this central hotel in a converted traditional house. It is exceptional value for the location and service. My room was simple, but large and with a good bathroom and decent hanging space for clothes and a TV with many Indian channels. There is no room safe. The restaurant is similarly simple but with excellent Indian standards and great service (look out for Lalu and Pravin). Owner Yash is very helpful on tours, places to see etc. Strongly r.
Very clean and well-maintained hotel right in the middle of the Udaipur action: within a couple of minutes walking from the amazing city palace and shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean and have perfect beds; food at the rooftop is a delight. Best feature however is the staff: Yash and his brother are the most amazing people we met on our trip: enormously helpful with organizing trips, restaurant suggestions and after we left the hotel to move to another haveli he even helped us with transport.
I spent three nights at Jaiwana Haveli but could happily have stayed
there for my whole two week holiday. The two brothers who run the hotel
could not be more helpful. I enjoyed watching cricket in the late
evening with Jash! The rooms are very clean and looked after. Food is
also very good and the views from the restaurant are fantastic. The
general location is perfect. I would recommend anyone to stay here -
forget those big expensive hotels...stay at Jaiwana Haveli!!.
The hotel is well located near the Ghâts, in the heart of Udaipur, close
to the City Palace and the Jagdish Temple. Everything is in walking
distance. The hotel also has a great roof top restaurant with amazing
food and very nice view on the Lake Palace. The staff is also very
friendly and will you help plan your day in the city. They can also
provide a taxi service to go the airport. I would recommend this hotel
to anybody who goes to Udaipur!.
I loved everything! The food is delicious, the room is very clean and comfortable, the views to the lake are fantastic, but what really makes this Haveli very special are the people who work there. From the front office staff, the restaurant staff, cleaning staff and the Manager and owner we had nothing but the best of service and a cheery attitude from all! Thank you so much for a wonderful, pleasant stay!.
Small family owned and managed hotel. The staff were very helpful. Centrally located with a good rooftop restaurant with a wonderful view of the Lake Palace. The TV room across the way provides a comfortable place to spend the day after checkout and before catching the train. Would happily return to the Jaiwana!.
Hard to beat this intimate hotel. Great value for money. Amazing
location close to the Palace and views across the lake. Most helpful and
welcoming staff we found in India. We particularly liked the facilities
and comfort of the common room provided for clients catching late
trains/flights - could even shower.
The location by the Lake with a view of the Palace from the dining room was superbly relaxing. Management and staff couldn't be more helpful and welcoming..We were very pleased with the assistance to find a very good taxi to travel to Jodhpur. A great experience altogether.
The staff were super efficient and helpful, spoke perfect English with a delightful sense of humour, the place was spotlessly clean and the rooms large, interesting and comfortable. Great breakfast on the rooftop restaurant. for the price I couldn't fault it.
the location and room with lake view are great, and the staffs are super! roof top restaurant are also great, you can have breakfast there to enjoy the sunrise and also dinner with dawn, if i ever come to Udaipur again, i'll be staying in this hotel for sure!.
I really enjoyed my stay at Jaiwana Haveli and I would definitely recommend it!!! The managers are truly hospitable.
The terrace is lovely and has a great view over the lake! The food that they provide is really tasty.
Excellent location near lake
Wonderful rooftop restaurant for breakfast and dinner, with unrivalled view of the Lake.
Excellent breakfast
Marble staircase and floors give the expectation of luxury.
Excellent service and friendly stuff. When we checked out and had to
wait for our train, we stayed in a nice big waiting room and even were
able to take a shower. Thanks to the managers for that!.
Very friendly and helpful staff, super clean, great location.
the breakfast at the rooftop was delicious and is definitley worth the money.
we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
The staff was really friendly and helpful.. The Family managing the Haveli was really helpful and honest in their advice on how to get the best deals shopping and getting around.
They get the fundamentals absolutely spot on.
Clean, comfortable, relaxing, efficient and superb location.
Great service and beautiful surroundings. A home from home.
Everything was perfect! Nice room, beautiful building, amazing location, friendly and helpful staff and an incredible restaurant. Do not hesitate to book it!.
The staff was very helpful and kind.
The room was very clean.
The view from the rooftop restaurant is spectacular.
In this hotel you feel special.
The staff was incredibly friendly and the great location. The rooftop and the quality of the food will make you stay for more than the breakfast.
Great location, excellent staff. Owners are very hands on and helpful.
Good food and excellent roof top restaurant with super view of the lake.
The facilities n staff are excellent. The owners are doing an excellent job. They give personal attention to the guests staying at the hotel.
the staff very kindly , beautiful location,
Romantic view from the terrace and the room if you are the lucky to book n. 301 - 201 - 101 room.
Five star hospitality and service, great value for money with crisp clean bed linen, lovely view from roof top restaurant and delicious food.
Excellent location and well decorated room. The view of roof-top
restaurant is fabulous, big breakfast, helpful and humorous waiters.
Overall experience allows us to recommend this hotel. A special mention to Lalu, the waiter of the rooftop restaurant.
Absolutely stunning location.
Roof top restaurant with superview.
Staff and owner is very good and friendly.
The roof terrace restaurant overlooking the lake.
The restaurant staff.
The proximity to the castle and lake.
friendly owners running the hotel on their own, vry helpful having a nice nature .
Cleanliness, Courteous and helpful Staff, nice location.
Exceptionally Friendly and helpful management and staff.
View from roof top restaurant and room was spectacular.
Overall a gr8 experience & a value for money.
the staff were very friendly and helpful.
the staff
the location
the clean rooms.
The room, the food, and the view.
Liked the hospitality..a lot...
everything ok. nice staff.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, both at the desk where we were
given a map, and in the restaurant (which has an amazing view over the
lake and Palaces). Big and clean room, but very basic. Only few minutes
on foot from City Palace.
1. Spectacular view from the rooftop terrace
2. Great food, to manage the taste buds of Indians and expats
3. Very friendly staff - simple and genuinely helpful.
My room's large windows offered a decent view of the lake but contributed to the room being hard to keep cool (but I did stay in May). The air-con is traditional "box in the window" and not quiet.
Nothing, apart from we could not stay our whole trip there because the hotel was full..
Nothing to criticise.
Having to leave the place.
Nothing.
Only challenge was the stairs to the restaurant...Being in our 60's and a bit weak in the bones we found we were ready for a rest half way up....but they are superb marble and a treasure in themselves.
Lots of steep stairs so ask for a lower room if this is a problem.
Smallish room
Clean bed but little else...basic
Simple "home-made" floral curtains, no nice cover or cushions
Not a feeling of luxury, except marble everywhere
NO LIFT.
The room didn't have enough furniture, so we had to live out of our
suitcases. Some basic decorations on the walls would favour the place.
If you are driving to Udaipur, the road to the hotel is narrow and the two wheelers zipping past you make the drive nerve racking.
The room size was small.
the A/C noise.
work in progress in some areas of the hotel but this did not spoil our stay at all.
The rate is a little bit higher compared with hotels nearby.
nothing us such.
my room was directly under the rooftop restaurant and very noisy in the morning when they setup the tables for breakfast. Also my 'room with a view' was limited to a very small corner window obstructed by peeling off purple film.
the internet connection was poor
no elevator.
Stairs, but we were warned, and it was worth it.
Little bit awkward to reach, the area is crammed with shops and other
hotels. Very noisy at night.
1. Old town location, which is very hard to reach with cars
2. Old town location very noisy - hard to sleep with horns honking all the time.
3. Rooms are very very basic, though clean and tidy.
