Location, room, bed, breakfast... everything. Friendly Gil was so helpful, he sits down with us and gave all the information we need to fill our day and more. We followed his suggestion and were very satisfied with the walk in the woods and wine with light meal at one of the Mills. Getting off the KD Reine Cruise, the hotel is right in front of you. We had breakfast with the river view and watched ships go by. Yet we heard nothing during the night. Rooms are quiet and comfortable with the best

We stayed at this hotel 8 members. It was first time for my friends to stay this hotel and all of them were very happy to stay here. It was quite wonderful experience to stay old castle hotel like this. -

Clean & comfortable rooms. Staff very helpful. Breakfast had ample choices in pleasant restaurant. Rooms quiet despite train tracks in rear (most hotels along this section of Rhine have trains passing close by). Large shower. No air conditioning although evenings were cool. very friendly staff, very helpful and also spoke excellent English. Hotel was comfortable, clean and the family room was very big and well laid out with plenty of space. It's about 10 mins walk to the centre of St Goar along the Rhine. Spectacular views along the way. Easy to find.

What a place Jocham and his family and staff were warm friendly and
could not be more helpful. What a great spot to explore the scenery of
the Rhine Valley. Then when you are hungry after a day exlporing eat in
the bar along with the locals great food and good atmosphere and Jocham
is always on hand with information and a wonderful sence of humour

Very nice hotel with friendly obliging English speaking staff. Good food and party atmosphere. Hotel can provide tickets for Rhine boat trip and take you to departure point and collect you on return in the 'Winzerhaus Shuttle' minibus. Short walk to Loreley viewpoint overlooking Rhine Gorge.

Location fabulous. Close to all amenities of train, ferry or car travel and onsite restaurant/wine garden.
Hosts were great. Went out of their way to make our stay a good experience. Attended with promptness to my husbands Celiac disease and supplied the breakfeast with gluten free products. So thoughtful and truly appreciated. -

we were able to still to get there due to the city providing cat walks.
The owner gave us great directions to get around the floods.

Food was excellent, and I have never had a freshly cooked scrambled eggfor breakfast while I waited before, anywhere. Tremendous!
