  Staff was very helpful, room had a small sitting area plus a small balcony with table and 2 chairs, and all was very clean. The city of Konstanz provides free bus passes. To get them, show your passport and fill in a form with the hotel staff. Breakfast is available for an additional 8 euros per person. It's outside of the main city area, but you get a free bus pass for the 10 minute ride downtown if you stay more than 2 nights. It's nice to be in a quieter area and right on the lake, which you don't get in the city center. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well.

  Location was reasonably convenient for the railroad station, waterfront, and historic part of the city (we don't mind a bit of a walk). Beds were comfortable, and an extra bed was available for our teenage son at a reasonable cost.
