- I know very little German but the front desk staff was more than willingto help us out - very accommodating and patient. The superio room wasvery clean,comfortable and updated. Breakfast was very good.

Also, the hotel was right on the lake, just a few steps away from several lakeside restaurants (which had indoor and outdoor seating). We were also lucky to be in Germany for white asparagus season, so there was "Spargel" on every menu. The hotel was also a short walk (10-15 minutes)

Very friendly and humorous staff. Nice, clean and spacious room/bathroom. Conveniently located next to Altona station with easy access to everywhere. We had reserved paid parking in the basement but still the receptionist gave us the choice to cancel it and park on the street for free. Free Wifi. This is the place to stay if you are in Hamburg

I was totally impressed with the Hotel and it's staff and not to mention the close proximity to the public train system. Best bang for your buck for those travelers looking to country hop and need a clean and comfortable room. I've been traveling in Europe for two months and will now only stay at Meininger Hotels. The hotel staff was really helpful, lot's of parking space around the hotel. Area was really friendly with lots of space and nature. Subway station Wandsbek Markt brings you downtown Hamburg in about 10 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the hotel. -
