Location was wonderful, accommodation had all mod cons but was also had heaps of character as it was set in an attic, in a very old building. Rhona was fantastic, and provided us with heaps on valuable information. Sarlat is a wonderful town, with lots and lots to see. -

Le Porche de Sarlat is located in the old city of Sarlat and private car parking is located just outside the wall. Alex the owner was waiting for us when we arrived and explained all the appliances within the apartment which was new with all modern appliances and cooking requirements. Its located in an old stone building dating from the 1500's with cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Everything at this B&B was perfect. Breakfast was excellent because

We booked at the last minute for the night of Bastille Day and were able to find a room. Gabrielle was very gracious and helpful. She let us leave our bags there at 11:00 a.m. while she finished cleaning our room, even though the "official" check-in time was 6:00 p.m. She also offered us coffee and a snack and gave us a map and info on the town. Room was lovely.
Our private WC and bathroom were across the hall, but that was no problem. She even hung a drawable curtain in the hallway for priva

We had a relaxing two night stay at Petit Manoir Meysset in November.
Our host, Suzette, spoke French and our home language (Aussie) which
meant we had plenty to discuss. We received an upgrade to a beautiful,
big room that was very well appointed. Breakfast, which costs extra but
is well worth the €7 each, was delicious and filling. The Dordogne
region is amazing! It requires a much longer visit than we could manage.
