  A truly lovely place to stay. Christine and her husband Pascale greeted us with the warmth of old friends. She immediately took charge, installing us by the fire ( it was ferbruary) in her big Provencal style kitchen, offering us an apperitif and telephoning the restaurarnt to tell them we would be late. There was water, fruit and local nougart. Christine has an ey - Cote Lourmarin is a gem. We stayed in the smaller of the two rooms and it was perfect. The queen bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious (shower only in this bath, but the larger room has a bath tub and a shower). Each room also has its own toilette. The house has been beautifully renovated by the owner, Christine. We have visited the village of Lourmarin many times but this was our first trip during the winter. The town was less lively than some ghost towns we've seen in the Am

  This is a good value for money place to stay. Our room was large, clean and comfortable but not as prettily decorated as ones in the adverts. The thai restaurant has a lovely terrace and the food is good. The young waitress was particularly friendly and helpful and spoke good English.   Location is fabulous. Great views to the Luberon hills, situated in its own park, but within 150 yards of the centre of Lourmarin, one of the most beautiful villages in the region - a great village to both visit and to stay in (which I would not say for some of the more familiar names of Gordes and Rousillon). From a design background this is something you would expect to see in The World of Interiors magazine. We had the whole place to ourselves, so nice. The log burning fire at breakfast was such a lovely touch. The rooms are very large and the bed is enormous. I can't recommend this place enough. The local town has lots of restaurants swell. A lovely country stay. GO!

About an hour from Aix (by car) - What an amazing hotel - quiet, luxurious and beautiful - from the vegetable gardens to the small groups of sofas/umbrellas scattered across the lawn, the attention to detail in the design of the house and gardens and the attentive staff - its a fabulous place and I would highly recommend it for a luxurious stay.
