Absolutely beautiful castle. The castle is part owner's home, part rented rooms and part museum. Wonderfully decorated and beautiful inside and out. Great fun touring the area and the outstanding antique doll collection and furnishings. Our room would suit a Queen. Breakfast hostess was very nice too.
The chateau is gorgeous, very well appointed and comfortable. Everyone who looked after us was charming and helpful and the self guided tour of the property told its history well. Breakfast, in the great kitchen, was ample, and truly memorable. We can't wait for an excuse to one back.todo comentarios »
This was the most outstanding place to stay on our recent trip to France. The chateau itself was spectacular enough, but the hospitality from the owners was second to none. Simply great value for money and a fantastic experience all up. Highly recommended!.
We love almost everything about the chateau. It's grand and the ground is lush and green plus the view from our room is breath taking. Peter and Katherine are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again.
This is an amazing place, a real castle, a museum with period furniture and artifacts. Comfortable bedroom with 4 poster bed. Good breakfast. Unbeatable value for money. A gem.Lovely village of Lyons La forêt nearby.
Best breakfast we have ever eaten in France, served by a charming and attentive lady in magnificent surroundings!
The owner was most welcoming.
Enjoyed experience of living with history for a night.
Quirky and individual. Our 3rd visit. Always a warm welcome and fun when you get your keys to the chateau electric gates and entry through the cellar. Best shower in France too.
We enjoyed the expirence of staying in a castle (chateau). The
breakfast in the big kitchen in the chateau was a great expirence and
the food was great.
Lovely place but remember its a doll museum really so facilities are limited.
A truly magnificent venue, excellent rooms, friendly staff.
setting , staff,location.
Exciting atmosphere.
The owner was very friendly and helpful.
Lots of information available about the Chateau.
Fairly close the Lyon-la-Foret which is a lovely medieval village with several nice restaurants for evening meals.
Having to enter and exit through a dark staircase and room.
Nothing.
Nothing...it was all just so good!!!.
There is no internet access in the room.
The stairs! Had requested ground floor room (bad knees) but told on arrival it was unavailable and given 'suite' at same price - but it was on 2nd floor!
Room smelt very musty/damp, even with windows open all night.
Nothing bad to report!.
The night we stayed it appeared to be the night that on resturant had
open in Lyons-la-Foret, but after some driving arround we found the most
lovely little French resturant in Morgny.
Low temp inside.
