Stayed here with ourdog for a night on a driving holiday through Spain and France and it was fantastic.The chateau and grounds are wonderful and the owners are so welcoming, but discreet and leave you to it unless you want them. We wandered around the rooms of the chateau and for a day felt like it was our home. They don't offer meals but there are a few restaurants in the local village nad we ate at one, Au Croissant, which was a real treat. Our room. Elfie, was enormous and full of antique fu.
todo comentarios » Amazingly beautiful chateau! Our room was as big a city apartment. Downstairs are several giant gracious rooms for reading, games, playing the piano, and a romantic terrace. This is a place to unwind and relax, enjoy the countryside and the beauty of the house and enjoy quiet times in Buzancais. It's not very far from some chateaux to explore and a few wineries to go tasting as well. Florence, our hostess, was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. She speaks very good English as well as Fren. Very relaxed family run chateau. Our room had very high ceilings and a 4 poster bed, with some really unusual fittings and unique decorations. Good walk in en suite shower with small loo and hand basin opposite. Had really nice evening with the other guests, with dinner on the terrace; food was quite simple but very tasty (home made quiche with corgettes; slices of roast pork, roasted vegetables; local cheeses; chocolate cake). Wine was a very reasonable 14-16 EUR per bottle. Good continental . This is a delightful chateau set in lovely grounds just outside Buzancais. It is still run by the family who built it and Florence is a delightful hostess. The rooms are large and charmingly decorated in the style of the late 1800s. This rambling house is quite lovely and we and our dog had a most enjoyable evening there. Florence recommended a very nice restaurant in Buzancais for dinner and L'Hermitage did not let us down. Breakfast was served the next morning out on the terrace delicious. Wonderfull setting in beautifull environment. Walks in the natural park of Brennes and castles visits so relaxing holiday possible. Breakfast and dinner with all guests around the big castle table is a very social and international experience, not to be missed ! Same for the food and the kindness of the guest family. History and beautiful surroundings and trees Original chateau basically unrestored and complete with all furnishings owned by same family since built Great access to all areas plus helpful staff who was owners grandson. It was like staying in a National Trust / English Heritage property. Lovely big room actually make that a lovely huge room. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast on a large table shared with other guests. The welcome. Beautiful chateau, made to feel very welcome. A unique place to stay with a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Nice Chateaux, nice garden, beautifull room and bed!. Nice pool, great ambiance. We enjoyed our stay. Only had one night which was not enough!. Internet connection really only worked well with the ethernet (provided) in one room downstairs. But really--no one should be spending much time online here!. The chateau was miles outside Buzançais (small town, not much there that we could see) and apart from walking in the grounds/swimming, there wasn't too much to do on site. Address needs to be clearer as the details given took us to the town centre, not the hotel and the geo co-ordinates did not work. nothing. Nothing. The drive from the south of france. The rain in the morning. The drive to the north of france. Continental breakfast. In town, Buzançais, everything was closed on saturday and we had to go to Chateauroux(20KM) for diner.
