The couple running the hotel were helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were fine. I was glad of the hotel being convenient for the station, and relieved to find my room at the back was so quiet. Good value for money.

The location of the hotel is ideal right in the old town with lots of lovely restaurants and cafe bars nearby.
The staff were so friendly and really helpful. The hotel was lovely and brightly coloured as were the rooms, very clean and good facilities. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting this area -

Location right at the train station. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. This is a solid hotel, no frills, an old-fashioned kind of place but updated nicely, exceptionally clean, a comfortable bed. And a first-class restaurant right next door. -

We were attending a wedding in Angouleme and found the Hotel very central, near town and railway station. Very comfortable and clean.Staff friendly. Breakfast was a bit dissapointing so we eat in town. Good value for money otherwise. -

Laferrière has loads of character, with it's limestone walls and tasteful interior. I was made to feel very welcome and at home, everyone was extremely helpful. It really catches the sun and I enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. Great location for the centre of town, just a short walk in a straight line!
