The hotel is obviously old (as almost any hotel in Opatija) but I liked the way they tried to keep it clean and pleasant for tourists. The rooms are big enough, staff really friendly. Extremely friendly, helpful and very professional English speaking staff. We were upgraded into G H Adriatic I. Breakfast was excellent, hot and cold with an outstanding selection. We were so impressed we stayed on for an additional two days on a half board basis which at 72 Euro was outstanding value. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Villa Palme is a beautiful apartment hotel with a fantastic view over the sea. Erika, the owner, is so nice and helpful and welcome you in a warm atmosphere. Close to everything, by walking. Be ready to walk ups and down since Opatia is buit in hills. But it is good to move after a good dinner and some drinks. Taxi is very cheep. -

We loved Hotel Galeb - the staff were so helpful, the beautiful big room was immaculate, elegant and very comfortable and also very quiet. Their restaurant was first rate, delicious food and discreet service. Our balcony had an amazing view of the Gulf of Tigullio and the whole Promenade along the water's edge - quite beautiful. -
