Tiananmen. Tiene un patio característico y muy bonito, el personal es
muy amable y habla inglés (o por lo menos lo intenta). Las habitaciones

For one week I got to feel like a real Beijinger living in the Hutong (albeit a fancy Hutong) and see the culture in a way that is impossible for a tour group staying in a fancy hotel.
This place was an adventure and allowed me to really experience the culture.
It is not my typical kind of hotel, but I am very happy I had this experience.

The location is perfect, just 10 min walk away from Qianmen and Tiananmen Square, you can also find subway and bus quite easily around there.
The cafe bar is really nice, good place to meet friends.
Beds are pretty comfortable, I stayed in a 14 bed dorm, quite a big room, not crowded at all. The A/C works well, hot water 24 hrs, and oh! the bar opens 24 hrs as well, which is a bonus!
The price is quite reasonable in Beijing, esp at central area.

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Tienanmen Square, in a very colourful area with plenty of restaurants and shops.
The room was simple but clean, the towels were changed every day.
The hotel has also a very cosy bar/restaurant area, mainly used for breakfast, and one or two computers are available if you need to use the internet.
Most of the staff speak English and they are happy to give you advice on the best ways to get to places.

The most cozy little hotel in Beijing. Almost impossible to find in the small narrow hutong alley-ways, it makes the perfect hideout for travelers curious about what's behind the facade of modern Beijing.
