For one week I got to feel like a real Beijinger living in the Hutong (albeit a fancy Hutong) and see the culture in a way that is impossible for a tour group staying in a fancy hotel.
This place was an adventure and allowed me to really experience the culture.
It is not my typical kind of hotel, but I am very happy I had this experience.

This hotel is in a great location for tourist very close for Forbidden City and shopping as well. The design is great and the rooms have wood floors, always a plus in China where carpet cleaning is not a top priority.

Very close to Forbidden city, Behai park,Tiananmen and to the shopping street Wangfujing Dajie. We book a Grand wall, Ming tumbs and Olympic park trip at the hotel that was okay. Clean, comfortable, nice little 'cute' gestures from the staff (cookies every evening at around 18:00 o'clock, morning Enligsh newspaper China Daily to your door, free minibar restocked every day). The staff were excellent. Very friendly and extremely helpful. On our first night there I misplaced my purse and the staff could not have done any more to help me find it quickly. They also helped entertain my baby son during check-in and check-out. The hotel has great restaurants too, we enjoyed tasty evening meals and breakfasts with a good choice for everyone.

tiananmen, jingshan park, and wangfujing! There is also a nice
convenience store downstairs and great alley cafe down the road. Family
room was spacious and had a pc. Its also inside a nice, quiet and
quaint compound.staff were helpful in getting us a taxi and attending
to our needs.

Justo al lado tiene una sucursal del banco chino, lo cual facilita mucho para ir cambiando pequeñas cantidades de dinero.
Si b - The staff were incredibly polite and the service was impeccable. They were also very helpful in providing us with "local knowledge" of where to go have fun, have good food etc etc.
The room itself was huge. Impeccably clean, service was always prompt especially when we ran into trouble with the washing machine. Amenities that one needs away from home were all there. Gym, Pool & Jaccuzzi were also great. -
Very spacious apartment, good for a family with children. Nice to have
kitchen and washing machine and warm toilet seats :).

complaints. We were transferred to the upper floor when we complained
about the noise from the renovation and to a non-smoking floor as
