  The staff members are incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing and the location is great for walking to various parts of the city. The accommodations are clean and comfortable and hold a bit of Winnipeg history within their walls. It gave us the experience of slipping back in time. Most important was the human connection--the friendliness and graciousness of the staff. Our questions and requests were responded to quickly and politely. The only slight exception to this was the young woman who checked us out on the last day. She was just a bit brusque with me and this was an unfortunate last but important connection. Otherwise, every

  I liked the weekday staff at the Thriftlodge, they seemed to have a better attitude and had more smiles. The food was good, great value for your money - Pool was very nice

  The cook in restraunt very nice polite and excellent with food. The front desk lady very helpful and nice polite. The room very clean.
