who was amazingly friendly. It is right on the lake, there is a nice
little dock and a bunch of kayaks, canoes, and a rowboat to use. The

Only 20 mins drive north of Quebec City. Large, clean room (we stayed in
the "Zen" room) with colour therapy jacuzzi tub.
Only a few mins drive to nearby microbrew/restaurant Pub Archibald (recommended by our host, and for good reason!), or Siberia Station Spa (hot/cold baths/saunas/hottubs).
House itself is right on Lac St Charles, with at least 5 single & double kayaks and canoes to use. Lake was glassy, quiet, and beautiful for paddling, though as it's the water supply for Quebec City,

What is there to say about the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. The place is pure luxury and is a tourist attraction in it's own right!!!
Of course you pay for the privilege of staying there but l had to do it once and now l have every intention of doing it again. Staff are magnificent....they should all take a bow!!

Beautiful room decoration, wooden floors is a rare and great improvement; healthier than carpet as they very hard to keep clean, and much better for allergy sufferers. Breakfast was great and so was the staff (polite and all smiley)! -

The hotel itself was beautiful with a charming room with a fireplace that had the elegance of a posh hotel but the lovely aroma of a cabin. The valet's were amazing and were so helpful - even lending an umbrella when we went out an outting! -

The Chateau Laurier is a lovely clean hotel and very close to the Old City. The room was nice and roomy and the staff were excellent, polite and helpful. This hotel would be perfect for those traveling with children. We had a great stay!

Everything about the hotel was amazing. Suites were clean and spacious, very quiet. Great place to stay and also enjoy the amenities. The staff was more than friendly and accommodating. Close to everything happening in downtown Quebec city. -

I was worried by some of the recent reviews, but my room was clean and
comfortable. The breakfast is typical for a hotel continental breakfast.
The staff was very pleasant and accommodating to our requests. -

We had the double bed room, which included a bar fridge and coffee maker. It was fairly small since it was just the one bed, but still enough for the both of us - especially considering it was only 50$ per night. The breakfast was good, a typical continental breakfast. The pool/hot tub/sauna were very clean and enjoyable. -

We got one of the 5th floor rooms, which meant it was really quiet. It also meant 5 flights of narrow stairs. Of course, since it's a historical building (like much of Quebec City) building codes prevent the addition of elevators, so this is par for the course. Beautifully reno'd room and bathroom, though the ceiling was a bit low due to the angle of the roof. Close to lots of nearby shopping and restaurants in the old city (and the lower old city, too, which was a bit cheaper).

I enjoyed use of the hot tub, though the hot tub could have been on a warmer temperature. Interestingly, maybe you folks up in Quebec can handle cold better than heat, I just left it at that. - The staff was very friendly, and the English speaking staff were eager to help the French speaking staff while communicating with us.
