Our host was very welcoming and helpful recommending a wonderful restaurant for dinner and giving directions for thecarea. The room facilities were excellent and everything well kept and clean. Breakfast was excellent and included a wonderful continental selection and the best bacon and eggs. We were able to leave our bags while we explored the town centre and evetything from the train station, town centre and Menen Gate was in short walking distance. We had a great stay - Thank you.
todo comentarios » The location was excellent just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Ypres. The room was luxurious and well equipped; there were also tea and coffee making facilities. The owner of the B&B was very welcoming and gave us some good information about where to go and what to see, useful and important when you're only staying for one night! Breakfast was huge - cracking quality and a good opportunity to meet fellow guests. The owners were absolutely fabulous, they were very helpful and friendly and were very attentative to your needs, the rooms are well kept and well furnished and spotless..The bathroom facilities are presented in the same fashion as the bedrooms. overall i would give this bb a very high rating for the effort they have gone to to give you a stay you will enjoy. This is an excellent B and B, ideally located for the centre of Ypres. Magda is very helpful and hospitable. The breakfast she provides is superb. We had motorbikes which we were able to put in her garage. The rooms are well equipped and there is a marvellous terrace with chairs and sunloungers to relax on. A great place to stay. The landlady was very friendly and cooked a lovely breakfast in the morning as well as supplying lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. The room was big and there is a roof terrace too. It is in a good location only a ten minute work from the centre and very close to the river. The B&B was great, Magda was very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. I have never stayed in a Hotel/B&B so clean, it was spotless. It was just close enough to the city centre, but far away enough to be quiet. I am already planning my next stay. A very homely atmosphere in which Magda was an excellent but unobtrusive host. Very friendly and helpful, her breakfast was outstanding and she won our vote as a clear winner for the best overall stay of our trip which included 5 separate overnight locations. Best breakfast I have ever had in all my years of travelling the world-everything laid on that one would want and more certainly a 10 out of ten in this regard especially since a good breakfast is one of the most vital parts of any travellers needs. The couple who run the place were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. Excellent value for money, 5 minutes walk from Ypres centre, but far enough out to get free parking and a low-budget hotel. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic!. Very well appointed, whole house spotlessly clean, good sized room, huge choice of breakfast. The owner is a lovely lady who speaks good English. Ideal base to visit this historic town and the Mennen Gate. Easy nearby parking. Amazing B & B! Right in the heart of Yypres - We were delighted to find this place. Car parking right outside, restaurants and bars just around the corner and all local attractions on the doorstep. Would 100% recommend. we only stopped one night here. we wanted to break our journey back to the ferry port and visit Ypres. This B&B was in a great position. Just outside the main square area so not noisy but near enough for all attractions. Excellent host who cooked bacon and eggs for us every morning; very good location in Ieper - only 5 minute walk to I Flanders Fields Museum/main square; good Wifi; Good base for visiting WW1 sites if you have a car. Everything was clean and tidy and the patio between the rooms upstairs was great for relaxing. The breakfast was good with a good choose. Nothing - our stay with our daughter was excellent. The torrential rain as we walked back from the town centre to the B&B! There was nothing we didn't like about the B&B itself. if i was to be critical i would say the stair case to the rooms was a little awkward to navigate..so if say you were elderly or incopassitated in some way you may find it difficult to use them. The b&b is not very obvious and took us a while to find. The lady does not speak much English so could not direct us. The stairs are very narrow and steep which was difficult with a big suitcase so be prepared for this if you don't do stairs! There is a downstairs room though. Due to the construction of the building, I found my room very cold which made drying clothes very hard. There was no parking option other than on the street. maybe room a bit small but this is a minor matter and not really a problem at all. 'Double bed' was two singles pushed together, but for the price we paid, couldn't really complain!. Nothing not to like. There was nothing we didn't like about this place !. Parking was on the street outside the B&B, but it was not difficult to find a carpark. I found nothing to moan about. The toilet was one of those water vacumn types,so a lot of suction and gurgling before it completed its mission! Ok but a bit too noisy!. There were no negatives at all. Nothing to not like. All good. Absolutely nothing - excellent Guest House. Fridge didn't work and the external, very steep spiral stairs, to the family accommation would be a problem if you were not sure footed. There is an internal staircase but that also was very steep and the treads very narrow. Everything was excellent. Stairs are quite steep to go up and down, wasn’t a problem for us but could be difficult for older people or people with reduced mobility. The double bed consists of two single beds joint, which creates a gap in the middle and it is not very comfortable. nothing. Parking on road. Only stayed one night, could have had breakfast on the terrace but unfortunately it was raining. Would have liked to have stayed longer. Spiral staircase to access the room was outside and very steep. In winter it was icy to negotiate. Nothing to dislike. Nothing. Half the town shutting on Mondays. nothing. no downside. Our ground floor room had a water bed which was an acquired taste! Our room was also adjacent to the kitchen which was quite noisy whilst landlady was preparing it for breakfast. They removed our bags & left them unattended in the foyer due to a date error in the booking that the lady had said was ok the day before.
