Superb hotel. Exterior: best looking building on de Panne front. Interior: fantastic, good clean rooms, lovely dining room with sea views, excellent facilities (rooms, pool, dining areas). Friendly and very helpful reception and dining room staff. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.

The owners and staff were some of the most friendly, welcoming and helpful people we have ever met. The rooms were spacious and clean. The food was lovely and the location was great for a beach visit or as a place to stay within 30 mins of the dunkirk ferry port. A very well ran, child friendly hotel. Will definitely visit again.

This was our second stay at the Hotel Royal. We returned to it because we enjoyed our first stay so much. This is a little gem of a hotel that deserves more than the three stars it currently has; it is at least a three-plus if not a four star standard. Since our last stay they have made many improvements on what was already a very nice hotel.

From the moment we arrived the lady at reception was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet, even to the parking meter we were helped and offered for our luggage to be taken to the hotel. The booking in was quick and easy, within minutes we were in our room. The room was above what we expected, very clean, comfortable and just everything we wanted was available. We stayed at the Hotel Donny at the beginning and end of our four weeks holiday in Europe. With car travelling time to Calais of just over one hour, it is a pleasant hotel in which to stay overnight. -

Our second stay here was as good as the first. Natalie and her team were as friendly and helpful as before. The breakfast is excellant and this is a great location for watching the pro cycling races -

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times before and intend to return. Please be aware that this is an older style hotel and has great character, it is not a typical modern euro box establishment and may be not to every persons taste,however we love it.

We stayed in the cottage, 6 bedrooms and 2 floors is not what I would
normally expect a cottage to be, it was a rather imposing residence with
good sized rooms with the bonus of a good sized beer fridge. A good
sized shower with seemingly endless hot water and a comfortable bed made
for an enjoyable experience. -
