Johannes gave us our choice of family rooms and arranged for the wonderful Bob's Tours (ask for Peter to be your guide);Lalith and Alberto were always friendly and helpful.   This was an amazing find. Literally in the heart of old Salzburg; close to the water, Mozart's birthplace and the French Church with a beautiful panorama of the city. We made good use of the kitchen area for cups of tea, breakfasting, and also chocolate from the vending machine. The computer was useful for checking weather and emailing home, but wifi would be good to have if possible.

  Everything is excellent. We did like the swimming pool with pure blue water on the hotel's backjard. The hotel itself is very clean and quiet as well as very beautifully decorated in an old style. The bus stop is in 6 minutes walk from the hotel. - Clean room, friendly atmosphere. Located just outside Salzburg but an easy tram ride into the city. Leave the car at the hotel and use the tram. If you are visiting attractions buy a Salzburg card at the hotel. Well worth the money. We will be back.

The busses run about every 20 mins, but it varies. The reception staff is very helpful. Do buy tickets beforehand, to save unnecessary expensive on the bus purchased, tickets. But remember, on Sundays, most shops are closed in Salzburg. The main train station is definitely walking distance. Currently there is construction going on, so to handle luggage down and up stairs can be a challenge.

  The pension is in a very nice quiet out of town location, with a convenient bus stop for the short bus ride to the city. You can hike near by and they lend you sticks and umbrellas.
