Lo que la gente dice
The place is great. Despite being a small hotel on top of a bar,
it's clean, quiet and comfy. Also, they make awesome pizza, the beer
is great and hey, it's a room on top of the bar! You don't need
to go nowhere!
And don't listen people saying that it's noisy. It's not. The neighbourhood is very quiet and the bar closes at 10. I've spent there a week and it was always quiet and good sleep.
And extra bonus is very friendly and easy going staff. Had really good time in there!. todo comentarios »
The service people were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and supplied all our needs.
We had dinner in the Hotel and the food was delicious . I would recommend this hotel to friends and we will stay again next time we need to visit the Eye and Ear Hospital.
Clean, comfortable, and convenient. Check-in was straight forward. Check-out was very simple (leave key in the room and leave). Location was close to the CBD and near plenty of various shopping and food options (besides the restaurant/bar on site).
It was a lovely surprise to arrive at the hotel and find it fully renovated but with enough of its original features left to make it stylish. Staff were friendly and obliging, even to someone old enough to be their grandmother.
Small room but very clean and newly renovated. They upgraded us to an ensuite room which was great for us. Staff were very friendly and professional. Fantastic price for an overnight stay - will definitely book again.
Very clean, very friendly, great value. We also had pre-concert dinner there and we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality and the ambience (oh, and a great range of beers on tap).
Quiet location, close to tram stop, IGA, food outlets, close to city without being "in" city. Loved being able to let ourselves in and out of the building without being bothered by staff.
The room was large, light and airy and it was easy to move about in it. The young staff were friendly and helpful. The parking was easy, safe and convenient.
Room was clean and good layout. Location is great for the G as well as the City itself and well priced when all you want is a place to sleep and shower.
Location to the MCG was excellent
Cool, funky vibe with really helpful staff who helped us so much by printing our AFL tickets. Much appreciated.
The guy that accompanied us was friendly. The free parking at the back of the hotel. Easy access to trams and nearby eateries. It's above a bar.
Price was perfect for what we needed.
It was clean and comfortable.
Easy access to city and shpping precinct.
Great food and bar facilities.
Good price for metro accommodation. Friendly staff ,24hr access and room made up each day. Air conditioning and tele also good:).
Good location near trams, clean & modern, simple & honest, good restaurant, surprisingly quiet considering the location.
the vibe of the place was great. close to CBD. Quality of the produce/food. selection of beer. room cleanliness. great shower.
basic but clean and tidy facilities, conveniently located close to the city and restaurants of fitzroy and collingwood.
Previously stayed here, had larger room with ensuite, outlook to street , tramstop outside, close to everything.
The overall feel of the place was very friendly and welcoming.
Restraunt lovely.
Room very comfy.
It was cheap and close to my conference. Also close to the city and easy to get there.
Good value, great restaurant & bar downstairs, comfortable private rooms A+.
the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. i may be back next week.

Proximity to family I was visiting
Very clean and comfortable
Friendly staff.
Clean, quiet budget room over pub. Convenient location to transportation.
The rooms were a great size for the price and the staff were excellent!.
Value for money and the 109 tram from melbourne stops right in front.
Complementary shampoo and conditioner.
Fresh towels upon request.
Everything. What I liked most was that it was extremely clean.
Great selection of beers on tap. Tasty and varied pizza range.
Comfortable beds, clean room, friendly staff, ideal location.
Right in the city, lovely staff, neat, great shower!.
Proximity to St Vincents Hospital and restaurants.
Location and free parking availability overnight.
Location and beers on tap. Wonderful seafood.
Comfy beds two pillows what more do you need.

easy-going.
right in the city.
Quiet. Central.
Wi-fi didn't work in the room. But hey, it's australia, say
thanks that you have it for free in the bar :).
I felt the room was lovely and had all the comforts we needed, it did however lack a bit of style. I feel a print or painting above the gorgeous fire place would make this room extra special.
This kind of art work can be bought cheaply on line.
I would like a piece of modern art on the wall as icing on the cake!.
Only one lightweight blanket on the bed which, in the middle of winter, was not enough. It may have been sufficient if I could have got heating to work but there were no instructions for the split system in the room and I couldn't get any heat out of it - in any case an extra blanket would have been more environmentally responsible. Also no spare toilet roll and only a quarter of a roll to start with.
Unfortunately, the wind was howling that night and there was a rattle outside on the roof somewhere. But that's hardly the hotel's fault :-).
Suggest sliding door on bathroom for toilet purposes would be nice!.
There was no telephone and no room service. There were no staff before/after pub hours.
Our room did not have a window.
Its strange to walk through the front door and be in the toilet...with no door to the bedroom. A door or curtain separating toilet and bedroom is needed.
The toilet rubbish bin was full cant even open it good thing it didn't smell. But everything was good. No toothbrush/toothpaste for guests good thing 7-11 was near. It's all good still.
We were in Room 11 a little noisy both in the evening and early morning when the empty bottles were emptied into the outside bin... not the best way to wake up.
Not much. A bit unclear who to give the room key back to when we left - just need a locked box or someting.
No soap, no one to ask for it. Toilet visible from the bed without a door or screen. Impractical for more than 1 person from my perspective.
parking a little difficult but not too bad.
have stayed here several times. not all the rooms of equal quality - room 5 is on the exposed corner of the building and suffers from victoria pde traffic noise. Room 10 now external windows (so on the plus side, really quite) but does have a poorly covered skylight which makes a sleep-in impossible.
Spa bath didnt work
Needed to have bathroom door closed due to external noise.
Toilet maybe wasnt as clean as it could have been..but nothing a brush didnt fix.
awoken in the middle of the night by other people's doors and use of the bathroom (I was next door to). Couldn't fully close my window which bothered me. My window was in front of the compressor that operated all night in 20 minute intervals and was really noisy. Also no globe in my bedside light and the power board was broken.
Duvays rather blankets on the bed - freezing, but thankfully a heat pump to use.
the other noisy people staying there. this was not the hotels fault, but theirs.
nothing.
Small and spartan. Reception in pub.
I really struggled to find a fault with this place. The food and drink prices were a little more than expected but more than made up for it in taste!.
Air conditioner was a little noisey, however, the room didn't take long to warm up.
No heater in the room. It was a tad cold.
Slightly uncomfortable with the refrigerator noise cutting in intermittently.
Ran out of toilet paper, milk for cuppa would have been good.
Traffic noise.
No privacy while using toilet - toilet clearly visible from bedroom. A simple curtain could easily be installed.
Pity the dining room is not open every day - it looked good. Check-in can only be done between 3-6pm on a Monday.
No milk unless by request for a cuppa in the room.
Bathroom needed a vanity unit for storage.
Metered parking - major pain.
Was a bit noisy - but it's a pub.
A bit noisy due to traffic (ie trams ).
check-in at 3pm - a bit late.
Globe needed replacing over the shower recess.
a bit out of the CBD but still good.
check in time - should be earlier.
Noisy engine outside the window, noise from the doors (closing).
no parking.
