I liked the location and the fact that the train ended at the motel which made city transit a breeze. The parking was free and the place was quite. I also loved being one block from the beach. I really enjoyed having a microwave, refrigerator, and a coffee machine in the room. This is a lifesaver with young children. The gentleman who checked me in was so friendly and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable the minute I started talking to him. όλα τα σχόλια »
Friendly staff who volunteered information on sights and travelling into town, and also managed to change the room when it turned out we booked a "smoking" by mistake. Location, though distant from the main sights, also has its plusses: a quiet neighourhood, just opposite the zoo, and a stone's throw from the beach. Not hard to get into downtown via line L which runs from right round the corner to Market Street (about a 30-40 minute journey).
The staff were very nice. My kids knew them by name after three days. The location was great for what I wanted to do. Ocean beach is only a short walk from this motel and the zoo is right across the street. The public transit is right next store also so no driving to and from in San Francisco which was a majore plus. Beds were very comfy and clean.
I liked the staff! I went into the lobby the lady there was very kind,
she knew we where from out of state, so she gave us a map of where we
could go and how to get there. The room was just a room with beds, for
our family the room was just to sleep and nothing more, so for the price
and what we wanted we got just what we needed!.
For a one night stay, this motel covered your basic needs, a bed to sleep in, a tube tv, a shower, sink, mini fridge, Wi-Fi, and a coffee maker. Friendly staff. Free parking. Nice cafe shops near by and the beach and zoo is just walk away. Overall, it's affordable and you get what you paid for.
I wanted to go to the Zoo, and we ended up staying right across from it!
The hotel is a very short walk from a lovely cafe, and a short drive
from any other facilities one might need such as grocery shopping.
Very convenient . It was clean, near the beach yet somewhat isolated.
Next to the zoo and the train system which can take you all over the
city for $2.00.
The motel is situated right nest to the train stop you can leave your car in their free carpark and travel to the city.
nice big fridge and microwave, location - close to Muni stop , free parking, spacious room, comfortable bed.
family run place. Very helpfull and knowledgeable about public transport routes and places of interest.
Loved being so close to the beach. It made up for the complete lack of luxury.
The price, the location next to the Muni rail and bus lines.
Ideal location for my stay with budget-friendly pricing. it was a nice room, close to the beach and we enjoyed it.
It was quiet .... clean...and the rate was great...
Simplicity of controlling temperature of shower.
Location and the staff were very friendly.
The cleanliness of the room.
huge room for a great price.
Nice clean room, quiet.
Is good.
Stayed on the second floor and the room had high vaulted ceilings with
wood beams. Hotel was eclectic, and outdated but it has great potential.
Location was amazing, very quiet and rail muni transit is on the street.
The beach and Golden Gate Park was very close. Bed was very comfortable.
Water pressure was good and water was clean. Very inexpensive which was
a high priority for us on this trip. Parking was included and fenced in
with ample lights. If budget is the end-game this is your place.
Old & a bit shabby but an excellent location & proprietor helpful.
Metro is 50 metres from door & surf beach 200metres away.
Could be great but building really needs renovation.
It was right across the street from the zoo and a block from the ocean.
The beds were comfy. Perfect parking. I don't recommend it for a
family with children, though. Staff was nice.
Location great. In front off the Zoo and close to the beach. Shopping center close too. Parking right out of the room.
Reasonably priced for SF. Excellent public transport into city on MUNI light rail system. 2 mins walk to beach. Quiet.
It was close to the beach. It was close to train line into the city. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The owners were very nice and went out of there way to make you comfortable.
The motel is really close to the beach. The WIFI worked in later evening.
Close to the beach. Nice coffee shop with decent food near by.
Close to beach..front desk clerk man was very nice..cozy.
convenient to public transportation.
Helpful Staff, Easy Check In.
Location and budget price.
It is very basics - you will have shower running, a bed, or 2 beds, tv,
a phone, a small fridge, and a microwave. The staff is pleasant, and
helpful. The motel is located at the end of l lane, close to the Zoo. So
it takes about 25 min to get to downtown, cost of ticket is $2 for one
direction. My boyfriend ate a breakfast at a close facility and said it
is overpriced and not of good quality. The area looks really poor, and
the motel looks the same, very, very poor. My boyfriend who really does.
location was good, close to MUNI line. price was ok in principle, but really NOT considering the poor state of things.
Cheaper then most compared to what still had rooms available, most
places on Lombardi blvd were full two months out.
Location
I just needed a place to stay
Bed was descent.
Location was the best benefit and price was fair and.
Near to downtown.
Location ..
location.
Location.
It was close to the beach and the sites we wished to visit in San
Francisco.
Handy for trams to San Francisco.
Walking distance to the zoo.
Nothing at all.
Leaving.
There were only full size beds available and there was no way to adjust the thermostat. I would have also liked to have no mold in the shower but I also know that this is common in the beach areas.
The showers were a bit old fashioned. It was hard to get the water to the right temp expecially for my kids. Other than that it was fine.
I did not like that there was no air, however after the first night I
learned it was not needed, maybe they did have air, but it was not in
the window like other places and I could not do anything with the temp,
however I ended up cold due to the weather and was fine after that!.
The pillows and sheets should be replaced. It almost feels like they have been there since the 90's. And the towels were small and not thick enough. These can be easily replaced by shopping at a value store such as Walmart. :).
The shower head was very short! Both my husband and I had to sort of
squat to get under the water. Also, my sister's room had bars on
the windows, which she found troublesome since the neighborhood seemed
safe enough.
Somewhat noisy due to nearby trains.
very harsh towels.
I wish the bed and bedding were a little nicer.
The bathroom floor was sticky, not very clean. nothing.
Nothing. All is greay.
The hotel is really old and needs to be updated and remodeled. The bathroom was clean but need some love.
A little pricey for what you get.
stay was rude didn't seem to like gay people.
Skimpy on pillows and towels. Bathroom had mildew stains, shoddy
plumbing work. Electrical outlets were few and an ungrounded extension
cord had a small fridge, coffee maker and lamp all attached which is a
fire hazard. Front desk was not the friendliest, but housekeeping staff
was cordial. Walls are not very well insulated and we could clearly
hear the people in the next room. Few amenities- this place is all
about budget.
It was rundown, mold, very unclean. Dirty towels, dirty and old
pillows. Broken towel rack, missing light bulbs. Neighbors were very
loud and noisy.
Shower not convenient and not fitting little children. We did use little bucket to shower our kids. Low water pressure makes the shower last forever.
Place could do with a lick of paint and general updating. Nothing to do locally in the evening, had to travel to eat.
The hotel and furnishings were well worn. The heating system needs maintenance.
The room was cold and there was a little bit of mouldy stink in the bathroom. The room equipment was rather old. Price was the highest during the entire trip.
Noise from tram line close to the motel was somewhat disturbing.
Not enough blankets.
Broken towel rail in bathroom, only the hinges were left.
Hotel is dated and noisy.
very very run down, needs a bit of TLC. Even shower was a challenge not to freeze or be scolded.
We had a homeless person digging in the trash can right outside our
room. Was not in a very nice part of town. Owner/person checking us
in was not courteous or friendly for a second.
Salt from ocean has deteriorated the side of the building we were on.
Lots of trash in the adjacent lot.
Loud bathroom fan
Dirty shower.
run down facilities.
internet didnt work
disorder in the office
noise from neighboring rooms.
* Did not have enough towels
* Dirty sheets
* think the price is too high for this hotel
* $50 to $ 60 is fine..
the other customers did not have courtousy for other people. they did not allow us to sleep for two days.
Decor, room appearance, property appearance.
Property is not cared for. Bathroom door with holes, chipped paint, ripped carpet, ripped seats, wholes in the blankets, dirty windows, and rude staff. My room had a fire detector that was covered up with a grocery bag and the thermostat was held to the wall with green tape. This hotel was worse place I have ever stayed at and the value for it was poor. Never again.
Terribly dirty (appeared to be mold...see pic). Broken fixtures in
bathroom. Very l loud. We could hear every word of our neighbors and
floor crecked with their steps No chain or bolt lock on door. Metal
(screens) welded to windows.
Right next to all night trams- noisy.
Dirty and cracked shower cubicle.
very noisy bathroom ventilation.
Squeaking and wailing plumbing from ours and adjacent rooms.
Foyer/ reception stinks of curry and unwelcoming .
Depressing and shabby room décor in need of complete refurbishment .
No spare plug sockets
Only stayed because we arrived late and too tired to look elsewhere.
Noisy, dirty, poorly maintained. Management unresponsive, almost reclusive. Does not want to be bothered.
Staff were super rude and the place smelt like curry and poo. Our room was filthy and there were toenail clippings in the bed. I wouldn't let my dog stay in a place like this. I put my sleeping bag down on the bed before laying on it and woke up in the morning with my leg covered In red bites. Wouldn't stay here again even if it was free b.
The personnel were very rude! They charged me almost double the price on
the website! They just kept saying, "well we are the cheapest on
the internet" which is untrue (Redroof inn is $60 per night) The
room was filthy. The sheets had holes in them and gave my children
rashes! I believe drug deals and prostitution was happening all night
outside and in the other rooms. Not a family place to stay! Never going
back again!!.
The cleaning lady even doesn't know how to do bedding..
