  Husabnd left expensive camera in room,contacted staff about an hour after departure they immediately retrieved camera and kept it secire until we returned a week later.enjoyed our meal in restaurant - 5 min to Newark airport.   The lobby is comfortable and attractive. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had a problem the first night--smoke detector battery signal went off with a voice warning of low battery. A call got a maintenance man there in minutes. In the morning I asked about the disturbance and was offered a room upgrade. Second room was a somewhat larger and had a... τι λέει ο κόσμος » king sized bed rather than queen. Bath is clean, Location is great, close to Times Square, shopping and dining. Getting to 8th and 9th Avenue is easy - The hotel is less than 5 minutes walking distance to Times Square and to two separate subway lines which run 24hours. Sights such as MoMa and Rockefeller Plaza are walking distance away. The room, bed linens and bathroom towels were clean. Bathrooms were clean as well. Rooms were cleaned Dailey and towels refreshed daily a well. Staff was helpful and friendly. The queen room accommodated my needs perfectly. The bed was comfortable.

  Self-contained unit, safe secure entry, spacious with modern kitchen facilities. Plastic bowls and plates cutlery etc..but I guess it saves washing and breakage. Good clothes storage facilities. Neighbourhood is quite ethnic..but safe as we walked back fro the subway late at night and went shopping to try to buy food to cook..which was impossible ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » unless you have ethnic/Asian tastes. Most of the European restaurants are at the other end of Brooklyn near the bridge. Though there is a McDonalds ab - We were really impressed with the hotel. Surprisingly nice for such a great price. It isn't in manhattan but it is a 10 min walk between 2 metro stations and fast to get to everywhere. The area itself was multi cultural which means great food! Also, there were some really great cafes and bars in walking distance (we loved sycamore - which is a flower shop with a bar in the back, milk and honey - which has great breakfast, and there is even a coffee shop at newkirk plaza station that had Toby's
