While there is work being done to improve the exterior, this is only a minor inconvenience. The staff, contrary to some of the reviews, were extremely pleasant and helpful and the quality of the finishings of the hotel very pleasing. I had requested a small single room but was given a standard room on the 19th floor which very tastefully furnished.

  Staff were excellent from check in to check out. More like a 5 star approach. Hotel is in a good location for most NYC attractions.   The quietness. Like a retreat. Great food. - Staff were courteous and efficient. Checked in early but no rooms were available, they said they would call me when I could go to the room. They did. The room I got I didn't like (close to elevator door and TV not straight in from of bed). They upgraded me to quieter corner room.

  The double suite was spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, very clean with nice decor. Perfect for two parents travelling with two teenagers. The kitchen came in handy with a large dining table. Good location - within walking distance to Times Square and Union Station but quiet to sleep at night. Taxis were easy to find as well.   The staff is very nice and helpful. It is quiet and well-maintained. The location can't be beat. There is an elevator man which makes coming home at night secure. The room is elegant and spacious, is at least 600 square feet and includes a sleeping area, a kitchenette, a large table, a full-sized couch, three walk in closets, a 42" flat screen tv, ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » with plenty of room to spare. - Location was perfect - within walking distance of Central Park,shopping, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Broadway. Quiet street androoms. Beautifully decorated, spacious, and ultra clean; all staff werefriendly, helpful, and excellent in their jobs; it truly felt like ahome away from home, including the fresh flowers in the foyer. We planon returning for future stays.
