Loved the atmosphere on the grounds with the open-air lobby and tropical landscaping.
The on-site restaurant had excellent food and a view of the pool and ocean. The tiki torch lighting in the evenings with the sound of the conch shell and great entertainer was also very memorable.

We liked how close we were to the beach. I left my sliding glass door open all night so I could hear the ocean. Very soothing. There are a lot of places to stay on Maui, I feel that I stayed in the best location!! Easy to get in and out. Hwy 30 just down the street. The staff made it extremely easy to come and go. They weren't pushy, but available when you needed them.

Location was perfect. View was superb. Pool, restaurants, cafes, rooms are all fantastic. Easy access to beach right in front of hotel as well as own private beach area. Excellent poolside bar. Hotel has own bus area to the side where most of the tour buses pick up. Would highly recommend it. -

Forget the reviews about how it takes a long time to get anywhere - plot courses of shortest distances on the map they give you and only use tram / boat for novelty. Awesome bridges and islands around lagoon tend to be shortest route(s).

do. You really don't ever even have to leave the resort. But if you
want to one of my favorite beaches Hapuna is right up the road. I also

This is Hawaii's Hawaiian Hotel. We had a room on the main floor, garden view, room 178 (smoking outside). It didn't face the large area of the garden, but it did have a small garden outside our room. We enjoyed it more because it was secluded. You could see the ocean through the trees. It's an older resort but that is not a problem at all. Fabulous
resort facilities, very clean and comfortable room (partial ocean view)
with great service. You can't swim in the ocean directly from the
hotel but it is such a dramatic location as the resort is positioned

Beautiful location, spent the most of my time at the resort because it was so beautiful and relaxing. Amazing pool to sit back with a Mai Tai and watch the sunset. Watched the manta rays feeding and ate delicious 'spider shrimp' at Rays on the Bay. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again myself

Loved the location - right on the beach with a range of water sports
activities available right outside the hotel door. Walking distance from

The location is beyond belief. The views are amazing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the entire hotel has a nice easy, non-pretentious vibe that fits authentic Hawaii. This isn't Las Vegas in the Islands and we love that it isn't. We were booked in another hotel next door, and cancelled just so we could stay at the Mahana as we started

We loved the apartment that we were given as it was facing the ocean. The 2 bedroom unit fit our family of 7. We felt at home and the unit provided everything that we needed. We loved that Mahana had the Expedio desk with the helpful Susan Ramos who assisted us in planning our tours. The Mahana is just 5-7 mins walk to the supermarket which is a plus and is just near the shuttle bus stop.
