We really liked the apartment that backed up to the Alaska State Museum. It was very quiet and it was very functional. We cooked every morning and evening - lowering our travel expenses. The efficient and free shuttle to and for the ferry terminal and the airport is a $100 round trip value. The drivers are knowledgeable about the area with good suggestions for hikes, tickets for shuttles to Mendenhall Glacier, etc. computer in lobby for printing boarding passes also helpful. And they let you check in as soon as a room is ready when you come in on a ferry in the early morning.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Wonderfully spacious with a great
view of the river. The staff was friendly and ever so helpful with
allowing us to store our luggage after checkout and before our
departure. The information on the area was easily available for all the
restaurants in the area and the different sight seeing tours. The decor

People in Alaska were very friendly, but here was awesome!
We stayed in May 2013.
The best room we had in our trip.
We felt like home, (even better!).
I still remember the chocolate muffins.
Thanks a lot for a piece of peace in a crazy and 24 hour round clock trip in Alaska.

Location was great near the airport, with a walmart next store to pick up things we weren't able to pack for our two week trip. The selection for the free breakfast was great. -

The motel was away from the hubbub near the Denali National Park
entrance, yet close enough that we had easy access to the park. The room
was functional, and had a refrigerator and access to wi-fi. Compared to
other lodging in the area, the price was good. The advertisement in the
Alaska Milepost indicated that wildlife might come through the mote

grounds - we didn't see any on-site, but saw three moose directly
across the highway to the east - wonderful. -
Staff very friendly & helpful, close to Denali & Healy, good food at 49th State Brewery which is just down the road. You get the feeling of being away from it all for example a moose was grazing at the hotel when we got there. Nice to have fridge & microwave in room.

Everyone at the hotel was really nice. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the rooms were. They will also pay for your taxi to and from the airport which is a nice bonus! -

The room was very clean and also nicely decorated. The bathroom was very nice size with a great bathtub. I loved having the balth salts. The food was great, and the breakfast that came with the room was excellent.The recomendations for food outside the Silverbow were spot on. Location was great. Staff were very nice and helpful. The photos in the dining area were great-they made me want to see more of Alaska.

Our view from the room was wonderful, we watched the sea otters play in the harbor between the docks. Beautiful snow covered mountains in the background. Window open to the east to watch the sunrise. We could walk to shop & eat, saving gas and getting a little exercise. -
The views are always great. If your from the Lower 48 this is not a 5

We had a delightful stay at Summit Lake Lodge with among the most friendly proprietors we have encountered. My husband and I stayed overnight at the Summit Lake Lodge, and we both
greatly enjoyed the experience. The cabins are very comfortable and well
decorated with careful attention paid to small details that make the
cabins feel so "homey". The owners and staff are warm and
personable and really go the extra mile to take care of the guests. The
breakfast that is included in the price is fantastic. The mountain
setting is beautiful, and we enjoyed kayaking in the adjacent lake. We

It was air conditioned, which I hear is not common for Anchorage but was really good to have. Breakfast was OK too. -

Lake Lucille Bed and Breakfast was the best location of all the places we stayed in our 12-day trip to Alaska. The staff was friendly, informative, efficient, and welcoming. Carol made us feel at home immediately. The rooms were spotless and beautiful, and the breakfast was SPECTACULAR! We would stay there again any time we have the chance. If you're travelling through Wasilla, DON'T miss this wonderful spot.
