New hotel in downtown newark. Opened in december 2012 everything's
new and up to date. Friendly and helpful staff. Free hourly shuttle to
and from airport and newark penn station ($2,75 to world trade center,
nyc - 20min trip). Excellent clean room with all amenities provided. 24
hour kiosk that carries all kinds of drinks and snacks.

Both my son and I had a wonderful stay at The Robert Treat Hotel. I use to live in Newark many years ago and have been in Florida for over 20 years so it was absolutely fantastic to stay at this hotel which i knew of since I was a little girl. Very convenient to Penn Station which was very important to us. In addition, the shuttle to and from P

The staff was beyond helpful!! Gave us great advice on the best ways to get around, there was a free shuttle to Newark penn that picked us up for free at almost 2 am, the guards on the night shift went out of their way to show us the roof patio ( under their supervision!!!) even though it was about to be locked up for the night, and the ladies who set out the breakfast meal were so kind- no weird looks for my strange food requests and pajama clad self, and without even asking they helped me car

Our stay could not have been better. Great location for visiting nyc
& surrounding area. Easy in-and-out, access to Newark airport.
Excellent facilities at low price. Best value in area. Excellent

I enjoyed that both my rooms were clean, and the beds were very
comfortable. What I enjoyed most was the friendly staff. I had surgery
while staying in the hotel, and the staff checked on me including the
housekeeper who cleaned my room daily. I felt they went the extra mile
to make sure I was okay, in which made the world of difference.

Very convenient for the airport. Does just what is needed for a transit hotel. It's clean and comfortable. Have rated it highly for location because of the airport. It is not in a good position for other purposes! -

We stayed here one night because of the proximity to the airport for an early morning flight. The rooms were comfortable and the cafe open all day when we needed it. I would often stop at the little restaurant in the evenings inside the hotel to have a bite to eat, which I was greatful for being open late!

big comfortable room. very accommodating staff. but the best is the shuttle service to newark penn station--free in morning rush every hour and come pick you up 24 hours on call for reasonable fee per room, not per person. let us leave car for an extra day in their lot for free!
