The location and hotel was fantastic-didn't want to leave. I had hesitations about locality maybe being out of the way, but No WAy ,it was just a few blocks from everything and all that San Fran has to offer, and that's a lot! - Great location, excellent price and staff. Our stay at the Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf was great. We had a clean, tidy room that was serviced daily. We were a block walk away from where our hop on hop off bus departed from. Location was great! Just 5min walk to Pier 39.
A lot safer area to stay than where people from our tour were staying (Union Square area) as there were very few

The location is perfect for those who want to explore San Fran on foot.
Chinatown, Little Italy, Lombard St, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli
Square, and the Marina are all within a 10-15 minute walking distance.
Take bus 49 from outside the hotel and you can take a quick ride
($2/day pass) to go visit the Painted Ladies or Japan Town. There is
great food nearby and tours that go to the bridge and beyond. The hotel
itself is very clean, with nice staff and great pricing for this area.

The Room was great. Very Clean. Hotel front desk woman with an accent
wasn't warm, but helpful. The guy who worked the front desk on
Saturday night was awesome. The art going up the staircase looked like a
mess. I know art, this was design student style. Sorry. Just saying.
Looked like elements were peeled off. Cool... If it was a cohesive
piece.

The restaurant dinner we had was
fabulous, very high quality menu.
The foyer was well designed but not that welcoming for comfort.We liked the state of the art room key system.
Free cocktails were great and the knowledgeable wine waiter and great waiter Ryan.
General ambience,decor and atmosphere was good especially cocktail bar and live music.
Considering it was a city hotel with obviously limited space we really enjoyed our stay there.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room, while rather small, was
clean and neat. The bathroom, while very small (I've had larger
bathrooms on cruise ships), was also clean, neat and stocked with
sufficient towels and basic amenities. Fortunately, the bed was very
comfortable. The included breakfast was very good and served in their
small rest

First time in a 'Boutique Hotel' setting, was amazing, very charming, friendly, convenient to everything, trolley directly outside hotel....restaurants, cafes, shopping, all within walking distance, or hop on trolley. Was very quiet, slept wonderfully. Decor quaint & beautiful. Bed comfy, water pressure great. Bkft included was good & filling. Cannot say enough great things about this adorable hotel. We will definately be back!

The decor, location were exceptional and even though the renovations weren't complete it didn't detract from our stay. The happy hour at reception was a great idea. The room. It has such a character. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the barwith live music as well. The hotel was very clean which was a big plus. - It was in close proximity to everything fun about San Francisco.

We were very pleased with our selection of hotel. When we arrived we had been upgraded from a Queen room to a Suite so were delighted. Having 2 bathrooms was a definite bonus. Friendly and efficient staff, quick check-in (and a couple of hours earlier than scheduled time), nice breakfast, quiet and comfortable room, nice toiletery products in the bathroom, great proximity to Union Square and public transport, great value for money. The hotel has a lovely feel to it - pleasant staff on arrival; comfortable rooms; well positioned for an easy stroll into town and access to all amenities. A free daily happy hour from 4pm to 6pm was a very welcome unexpected bonus. As the name of the hotel might suggest there are strong links to the military and as a visitor from the UK it was pleasing to see the level of respect that is shown.

We have a big family and were given a very large room with a view. This was a pleasant surprise as the only negative comments I read from reviews before our stay was in regard to small rooms without a view. - The staff was very nice and helpful, and it is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay.
