had a nice relaxing stay. Cottage had just been re-furbished and was really warm and cosy. Owners were really helpful. Liked the fact that car could be parked just outside the cottage door. Bus to York ran every 30 minutes if you wanted to leave the car. Really enjoyable girly weekend. And yes we would stay again. -

... τι λέει ο κόσμος » zy cottage to stay in. There was a new kitchen, new bathroom and the owners allowed us to check in very early at 11am. It was quite conveniently located close to the Park & Ride into York, which took only a couple minutes to drive to. Gary and his wife were very welcoming.

The staff that were there were excellant and could not do enough for us.. Its situation to york was fantastic only a five min walk. - The staff member we dealt with at reception was very friendly, helpful and always willing to help at any point.

The new managers had just taken over and had many issues to deal with. They made us feel very welcome and accomodated our needs well. The hotel needs some TLC but is comfortable and the rooms were adequate for the price. Overall, a nice place to stay near to the city (15 Min) walk or bus directly outside, generous parking area. -

there was some road noise but I suspect they are in a conservation area so double glazing is not possible

Nikki and her children Miles and Alicia were the perfect hosts. We
stayed on the top floor and the rooms were perfect with a nice view from
the rooftop windows. Nikki made us a lovely breakfast and gave us a lot
of information and directions around the city of York. I would recommend
staying here and would love to come back for another visit one day.

It was close to city centre, about 15 minutes walk. Cute little room with a comfy bed. Not a lot of frills, but didn't feel like anything I needed was really lacking. Had a cozy inn kind of feel to it. The staff was very nice and let us keep our car in the car park after we checked out so we could wander the city a bit. -

The staff were amazingly helpful and accommodating. We arrived way too early but they made the room available and for us anyway. We checked out on the last day but were allowed to keep the car on the car park so we could enjoy the rest of the day in York without having to pay to park in the city. Everything from the hospitality and lovely breakfasts to the well furnished comfort of the room. Tony made us very welcome with coffee and biscuits on arrival. He also gave us a map of the city and told us of things to see and places to eat. Dianas breakfasts well lovely and there was lots of choice. The owners were welcoming and friendly and the accommodation was warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful - gluten-free bread was supplied specially for me, which was much appreciated. The guest house was ideally situated for exploring York - and was only a minutes' walk from the football ground too! -

Well appointed rooms every thing you would need. Plenty of tea coffee etc. Breakfast was fab good selection of cereal fresh fruit even mince pies and bottled water. Followed by full English and any amount of toast.location was spot on a nice 15 minute walk along the river to the center of York. Would defiantly stay again. -

Earlier that day he kindly gave my friend who had travelled by car a lift into town. Lovely spacious, comfortable room and well supplied with toiletries. Good breakfast, freshly cooked to order.

I stayed at the York Lodge for two nights. Didn't really know what
to expect after reading some of the reviews but I found it very
comfortable. Just check in and then you can come and go, there's no
reception or leaving your keys. Comfortable room and bed, generous
supply of tea, coffee, etc, and an excellent breakfast. Would definitely
stay there again.

The couple running the guest house were great. Very friendly. The breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit, toast, yogurt, cereal and cook breakfast. It was very close to the town, only about 10-15 walk and there were plenty of restaurants nearby too. There was only two parking spot, one of which we had. Not sure where other guests parked so if you have a car it is not necessarily going to be parked on site. I would stay again and recommend this accommodation.

The owners are so lovely and helpful, we arrived on one of the busiest weekends and Graham was able to give us tips and tricks about where to go and what to see, as well as advice for beating the crowds.
