Great ambience of a lovely old rowhouse - quiet neighborhood - easy walking distance to the tourist sights of York - friendly and efficient staff - family room with queen bed in one space and attached smaller bedroom with twin beds was great - bathroom was very spacious in comparison to other b&bs where we have stayed -

The guest house was ideally situated for exploring York - and was only a minutes' walk from the football ground too!

Blown away by the plush, stylish apartment. We visited York with my parents & this 2-bedroom apartment suited us much better than two separate hotel rooms, as it provided a social space (kitchen, dining table, sofas and TV)
Incredibly convenient for walking to key places in York; train station, the Shambles, the Minster and, highlight of the trip for my husband, the National Rail Museum.
The lovely Heather at reception is also wonderfully helpful :)

I loved the fact we were made very welcome by the receptionist on arrival, a very pleasant girl who recognised us from last year when we stayed there. The apartment was spacious (a king bed in the separate bedroom and two chairs that opened out to two very comfortable beds in the living room), with a huge bathroom with tub and shower, and a fully equipped kitchen. Location, near a gate to the old city and very close to shops, as the main reason for our visit was to do our Christmas shopping. Accurate, detailed instructions for finding the apartment were easy to follow. Also the small problem we had with the kitchen lighting was dealt with very promptly, effectively and courteously. The apartment was warm and cosy and suited our needs very well.

Elizabeth & Spiros couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. We were offered sherry and mince pies on arrival.
Cosy warm room with kingsize comfortable bed.

The staff are amazingly friendly and really made us feel welcome. Everyone was cheerful, helpful and all round nice. It felt more like a family hotel than a chain hotel (and I mean that as a positive comment.)

The hotel staff was ever so helpful and kind, the decoration in black and white is very charming, the wireless internet works very well and breakfast is excellent with the serving of hot English breakfast, fresh cheese and ham and yogurt. - Free mini bar and coffee / tea making facilities. Good price, clean and comfy rooms, helpful staff, free hotel parking and very quite location - despite being near a park and ride bus-stop for in and out of York. (If you wanted to taxi ride it was less than £8.) There is a gastro pub within yards of the Premier Inn (The Dormouse) - it looked nice but we had already booked for dinner in York. Breakfasts at Premiere Inn were fine.
