It is a suite hotel less than a ten minute walk from the main Railway Station and ten seconds off the Royal Mile. to forget - very friendly too)
2) Location - There cant be a better hotel than this....superb ! Perfect location - closer to the station. However, you will surely need to take a cab from the Metro to the Hotel (if carrying heavy luggage) 2nd option would be to climb around 108 steps towards the hotel (from the metro station). Taxi would not cost more than 4 Pounds from the train station.

This was without a doubt, one of the most enjoyable UK stays I have ever had. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The location on the Royal Mile was perfect for our stay, within easy reach of the things we wanted to do. It was easy to drive too, with easy parking behind the hotel. It was also easy to get out of Edinburgh from this location. With this in mind I will be using this hotel again for future visits to Edinburgh. - Interesting food in Tapas style bar.

Choosing accommodation in a city that you are unfamiliar with is always hard. We chose well as this hotel is brilliantly located in the "old " city right off the Royal Mile. letsbookhotel.com and our stay was perfect. The staff were brilliant and so
attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room.
The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added
extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers. We
also had a massage each in the spa centre which was fantastic. The
location is more than you could ask for- everything on the doorstep!!

We had a perfect stay at the Apex International Hotel. Our room was fantastic with excellent views of the castle and was very clean and comfortable. Great location and convenient for pubs cafes, shops and sight seeing.
Our room situated at the back was quiet and we had a good night's
sleep. Very helpful and cheerful receptionists. The fire-alarm went off
on one occasion, firemen turned up and declared it as a false alarm, at
least we felt safe. We will book again in the near future. -

Staff very helpful, we left our bags in hotel until check-in and were able to have late check out for only £20 extra. Breakfast on go great idea and great value for money. Will definately be back as perfect for train station and shopping.

After reading the reviews,we didnt have high expectations but for us we just wanted a place to put downs our heads for the 2nights we were there.But i have to say the room was immaculate and was way above our expectations. They provided a safe place (store downstairs) where wecould store our luggage for the day free of charge. - The whole apartment was wonderful - clean, beautifully decorated and furnished and comfortable. It was very spacious - ideal for children. The location is perfect - right in the heart of Edinburgh. The staff went out of their way to assist us and were so helpful. I would thoroughly recommend St Giles Apartments and it is much better value than a hotel if you are travelling with children.

Location is excellent; on the doorstep of the city, yet away from the hustle and bustle, especially during the Festival, and immediately adjacent to Queens Park and Arthurs Seat for jogging/walking.
