We loved the classic old style pub, especially when the log fire was lit
in the evening. Lots of atmosphere with interesting photos on the walls.

this hotel is an absolute delight, a real hidden gem in the Gloucestershire countryside. Our room was probably one of the more 'ordinary' ones, but having said that we could not have asked for more. Everything that I could think of that would make a stay in a hotel comfortable, the staff had thought of first. Considerate, affable and accommodating staff were present throughout the hotel, from reception to the restauarant. Self catering apartments were good as usual- some improvements noticeable eg outdoor table and chairs for relaxing on the deck, door wedges provided. All the usual niceties too like plenty of tea and coffee, toiletries, water and fruit in the gym, towels provided in th pool area etc -

We chose Thistle Cheltenham because a few weeks earlier we had stayed in The Atlantic Tower - Thistle in Liverpool and enjoyed our stay so much we looked for the Thistle name for our visit to Cheltenham. Excellent in every respect. The room was easily on a par with Liverpool (except no flat screen TV but this was not a problem). Before we went down

The room was lovely and we have visited the hotel several times over the past 10 years and always enjoy returning to the Thistle Cheltenham. Lovely hotel and the breakfast was very nice. The location is not the easiest to find, but you are repayed by the high quality of the accomodation. The building seems like a fairy house, immersed in a somptuous nature. This all completed by a friendly and professional staff.

The environment of both the location and the standard of the design and build. Liz and Kevin are the new owners of The Coach and Horses....they only had been the new owners for 6 weeks at the time we stayed there. They are warm and welcoming. Very friendly and warm welcome. Room was cosy, warm, well appointed and very clean, the fixtures and fittings were stylish and overall very homely. The village of Bourton on the water is only a 10 minute walk so it is well situated to amenities nearby. Food was excellent and presented beautifully. The atmosphere in the pub was very good and very friendly. I would defiantly recommend this pub as a good place to stay

the room was very modern and comfortable with a top of the range bathroom with robes and slippers. Restaurant was top quality dining and guests at the hotel got 20% off food. Free use of spa facilities was excellent.
