We have been coming here for several years now, and three things always stand out: the hotel's amazingly beautiful shore side location; the easygoing friendliness of all the staff; and the consistent excellence of the food, in particular the impressive breakfasts which would easily fuel the most energetic ramblers.

The hotel is superbly located by the lake with long vistas across the water. The three rooms taken by our party were excellent, beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable and spacious. The reception areas, lounges and card room were likewise spacious and well-furnished. Real fires in the early Autumn give a special welcome. The staff were anxious to please and very pleasant at all times.The meals were very good with quality ingredients.

The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. Very friendly staff that made us feel very welcome. Food in the restuarant was very nice, with a relaxed atmosphere. - I came to relax, and in our second choice room that was possible being able to see and hear the river, plus watch the wildlife

Good food, comfortable hotel, spa facilities, friendly staff, plus a super location about 3 miles outside of Keswick - a relaxing stay in a delightful setting, loved the pool and spa and the food was fabulous, worth another visit.

The staff were extremely friendly,courteous and helpful from the minute
we arrived to the minute we left,house keeping was faultless,the meals
and restaurant/bar staff fantastic.The location was brilliant with
superb views over the lake,even the weather was glorious!altogether an
excellent experience. -

Very welcoming and child friendly. The kitchen had everything you could need and bedrooms were comfortable. Very useful to have parking just outside. - The apartment was very spacious and modern decoration inside. Very clean and tidy inside and very close to the town of Windermere

Great location within walking distance of both Windemere and Bowness.
Helen, Phillippa and Trevor all pleasant and helpful. They even took us
through the kitchen at breakfast time to see the Deer in the woods at
the rear of the property. Our room was beautiful and peaceful and looked

the hostress, Phillipa (hope I didn't wrongly spell her name) was very kind. She welcomed us with delicious tea and cookies, and provided us some milk and cereal when she heard we had to catch up an early train and would miss the breakfast - hmm, the breakfast was quite good here. The room was clean and cozy, enough space and we even saw a deer outside the window. Overall it was really nice stay, I could understand why this guesthouse could get such a high rating.

Everything! The staff were wonderful and the food excellent. - Felt more like a 4* plus hotel, not a 3. Nice details like great towels and fresh milk available for in-room coffee. Quality decor in room, nice bathroom too. Very convenient to town without being in it.

The Swinside Inn is set among the magnificent Cumbrian mountians. The
views from our 'Catbells' room were stunning. The room was well
presetned with modern decor throught, a modern en suite
shower/bathroom, comfortable bed, ample wardrobe/drawer space
and ample tea/coffee facilities. The evening meal was fairly basic
and fitting for a countryside

Location excellent..in a quiet valley about 5 km from Keswick, a
tourist center. No other buildings around except for the Inn. I could
hike into spectacularly rough mountains in 5 minutes by foot from the
inn. Nice log fire, lovely and warm in the rooms. Each room is slightly
different. The one known as Causey Pike has massive windows towards the
mountains. Food was fine, and breakfasts were hearty with everything
one could think of.

Excellent room - bright, spacious, attractive decor, very well furnished
and equipped including large tv. Very good en suite the size of our
bathroom at home! Very friendly and helpful staff. We were shown to our
room, which doesn't always happen elsewhere.The cream teas looked
delicious and good value. Quiet, relaxing and unhurried in a good way.

Spacious dining room where we were asked, as the first diners there that
evening, if the volume of the background music was all right for us.
Very go -
We got this as a late deal which made it great value. Unsure what normal
price would be but large comfortable rooms in a beautiful historic
building with great facilities. The evening meal was superb probably one
of the most enjoyable meals we've ever had. Was here whilst on
business so was a very brief stay but would have loved to have been
there for the weekend.

I found Lingwood Lodge to be very clean and comfortable, the
owners/staff were very friendly which means allot when you are on
your own, the room was excellent and the dining room and breakfast were
very good indeed, I had stayed as a stopover on the way back from
Scotland and I will certainly book another room there. Very good indeed.
Also it was within easy reach of the town centre. I wish I had stayed
there on the way to Scotland. The service was excellent throughout and
would recommend it o

The views, the terrace and grounds over looking the lake, the space andold world charm, welcoming staff and we were fortunate to have a lakeside room. Nice to stay in on wet days when lounge available - The hotel was clean and modern, with fantastic views over lake Windemere. The staff were helpful, informative and friendly.
