The Elim Lodge Guesthouse was a one-night stay on a road trip around
England, but it is definitely a place I would go back to. Everyone was

this is a very friendly place to stay. We parked up on the friday and did not use the car again

We loved Dave - he's hilarious although not always intentionally - very, very nice man, friendly, helpful & accommodating.
Breakfast was really good and didn't cost any extra, room was pretty decent, lots of tea & coffee etc. good location, comfy beds - couldn't really fault anything.

All staff exceptional. Couldn't do enough to make us welcome. Decor wonderful. Very personal service and relaxing. Lacet House is in a great location, very close, literally to the town centre of Ambleside. The host Catherine made my 83 year old mother and I very welcome. We received old fashioned hospitality. It is a small guest house so it feels like bringing your lounge room! We booked 6 months ahead from Australia ans got a very competitive rate. Very good

Such a lovely place to stay where the owners were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. They went above and beyond expectations! Great location right in the middle of Ambleside. Modern well presented rooms with very comfortable beds! We had a great choice of breakfasts and they even have parking spaces! ( rare in Ambleside). We will definitely be returning for another visit! The lovely welcome and really super accommodation. Loved the owners and would have liked to stay longer. Easy to get to all places we wanted to visit and also had parking on the side of the property. Wonderful breakfasts. Enjoyed the TV and had our own key to come and go as we liked. -

Very friendly and comfortable, parked nearby. Easy to find and very close to busy and attractive town centre. The lake isn't far away either and very beautiful.
Breakfast prepared to order and excellent. -
