The Riverside is probably one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in in a long time, and certainly for the price. Excellent leisure facilities, excellent bar, staff were fabulous, rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. I was on a work trip, but i'm seriously going back for another stay with the woman i love. Maybe even the wife.

The staff made us feel very welcome and worked very hard. The smell of the log fire burning was so welcoming as it was very cold outside. The breakfast was excellent and the waiter service first class. We found all staff very helpful and there to make our stay enjoyable. The food was obviously of a high quality. After a walk round Grasmere the hotel's warm swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were a luxurious delight.
