On Scotland’s far west coast, The Mission Bunkhouse in Mallaig offers simple hostel accommodation right opposite the train station. A pretty fishing port in the Highlands, Mallaig has a supermarket, shops and places to eat right outside the building.
The Mission Bunkhouse has a shared TV lounge and offers laundry services. There are standard twin bedrooms and twin rooms with bunk beds, shared bathroom facilities with shower, and a communal kitchen with an oven, microwave, kettle and fridge.
Downstairs, The Mission Café serves breakfast from 06:30. A Co-op supermarket is just next door making it easy for guests who prefer to cook for themselves.
Trains run directly from Fort William to Mallaig, a journey of around 80 minutes which is regarded as one of the UK’s most scenic rail routes. You can enjoy views of Loch Eilt and Ben Nevis and then sample Mallaig’s freshly caught seafood at its excellent restaurants on your arrival.

The location is excellent as it is across the road from the train station and in the heart of the village near a couple of hotel restaurants and a chip shop. A kitchen is also available for self catering. The decor is fresh, and showers and toilets clean and new.Price was cheap.Downstairs cafe available for full breakfast.Nice staff.

Location, friendly staff, flexible with arrival and departure times, cleanliness of the room.
Clean, well located in centre of town. Great cafe that opens early. Accomodatig to cyclists.
Cost, great facilities, very friendly and flexible arrangement.
Newly renovated and very clean. Nice Café attached.
I stayed there overnight. For one night ok. I had a room for my one.
It's cheap and near the train station/ferry terminal.
I would have liked an extra blanket as duvet was very light. However the heating did work. It didn't matter to me, but the TV did not work and only played beds of which thew were few. It was quiet when I was there but although there is mainly privacy I might not have liked that shower rooms and toilets appeared to be unisex.Using the two sinks would not have privacy. But as a hostel at this price you should not expect more.I am not really making complaint.
The weather was not to kind to us still we enjoyed our trip.
No Wi-Fi, the showers weren't the cleanest.
Could have a designated space for bikes and ground bolts/a room/bike bins.
Room was really light- curtains on the glass above the door?.
No Wi-Fi, no telephone contact number (this nearly stopped me from
booking though I have contact number now).
The atmosphere was "cold", small window.
