  We stayed on three occasions for a total of eleven nights during June & July 2013. The hotel is situated in a "business area" with the popular Borough Market nearby. It is within walking distance of the underground and many of London's tourist attractions. We always felt safe walking in the area. Staff exceptionally friendly and happy. The comfiest bed ive ever slept in, much better than the 5 star knightsbridge hotel we stayed in earlier in year! Great breakfast in the Anchor pub next door. Breakfast room upstairs with river & terrace views . Lots to do in area, took the river boat down to the Eye (you can also walk this in 15- 20mins) then 10 mins on foot to Horseguards parade and onto Trafalgar Square.

  We had a fantastic week in St. Cristopher Village. The hostel is in a very central position and it's very simple to move, furthermore the area is not completely dead at night, as it seems for the most of the City, and if your on holiday that matters. We read about dirty everywhere, noise allnight long and rooms with not enough space to move, but we found none of - Helpful and friendly staff, clean room, very simple but good breakfast, great atmosphere. 15 minutes on foot from Big Ben, Tower Bridge and The Tower (however, we walk quite fast so it can take app. 20-25 min.). Underground station "London Bridge" 3 minutes from the hostel. Free internet access (well-working). £35 for one person for two nights in the last weekend of April in London is in my opinion really good price.

  Mo at the reception is a really nice guy. We arrived early and he still made sure our room was available for us ASAP. We had a double room which was very nice and clean. The hostel had a lift which was amazing after spending a lot of time lugging bags up many flights of stairs. I had previously read a review that said it was scary to walk from the underground station to the hostel, but let me tell you even though it's mostly a desserted area at the late hours of night, it's very safe, so don't worry about that.
