We had a fabulous one night stay at The Chester Residence. Staff were very helpful and the suite was fantastic. All rooms were very spacious (we had the 1st floor suite) and the location was only about 5 minutes walk from Haymarket and Princes Street. This was our first stay in a serviced appartment and we would highly recommend a stay here, beats
... τι λέει ο κόσμος » a stuffy hotel any day of the week! - The location was fairly close to the center of the city (20 minute walk). The neighborhood was quiet and clean. Flat screen tv with multiple satellite channels. Kitchen well stocked daily with breakfast/snack items. Reception/housekeeping more than helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone and return to this hotel without a doubt.

We stayed in apartment 11 on the third floor. The view was incredible of
St. Giles Cathedral. The location superb two blocks from the castle.
Many restaurants and shops on the royal mile. Many tourists but inside
the apartment calm and relaxing. A bit of noise at night as shops and
restaurants were cleaning up and ghost tours ending but by 11pm all went
quiet until about 7am. We enjoyed our stay as it was close to everything
including Waverly train station.

I liked everything from the beginning as I was met at the door with a handshake and a nice hello. Mr. Lapping is a fine cook so there's no need to go anywhere for breakfast. Cleanliness of apartment.
Location - walking distance to all major locations (although proved difficult for older members of the group for some distances).
Great location for the Playhouse Theatre and surrounding restaurants/bars.
